JISUNG SIGHED, POKING AROUND AT HIS FOOD. HIS EYES WERE PRACTICALLY GLUED TO A space across the cafeteria, where a young boy had slid in at Minho's table, happily talking to the older male. That bitter feeling crept into his chest again, and his eyes drifted towards Hyunjin, who happily munched on his own lunch and conversed with Felix and a few of their other friends.
He wasn't sure if he felt worse because he didn't know the kid; although he couldn't directly compare himself and the boy, his imagination was free to run rampant. Much worse, he decided. What are you thinking, anyway?
He chastised himself; this isn't how you're going to get over it. Lord knew he had to get over it before he confused himself even further; before he allowed his feelings to grow even further.
Jisung hadn't even noticed that Jaehyun had approached their table and sat next to him until an arm wrapped around his shoulders. He startled slightly, suddenly pulled out of his reverie. He momentarily looked away from Minho to meet a smirking Jaehyun.
The smile that had been present on Hyunjin's face had subsequently vanished, and even Felix's eyes had settled into a questioning glare. Jisung shifted uncomfortably, trying to lean away from the older male's grasp, but the thin, short cafeteria table bench prevented him from going far.
His eyes to flitted back to where Minho sat, a small smile on his face as he talked to Jeongin. Jisung forgot all about his whole ordeal with Jaehyun, and who could possibly see and misunderstand the situation and he allowed a small, vexed frown to tug at his lips.
I want to be the only one who can make him smile like that.
Jaehyun followed his gaze, and clenched his jaw.

"Hyung! Are you even listening to me?" Jeongin pouted as he stuffed another piece of lettuce in his mouth. "Hm? Uh, y-yeah." Minho grinned sheepishly, keeping his eyes downcast on the tabletop.
He felt as though someone had been staring at him ever since he'd stepped foot into the cafeteria, and it was only one pair of eyes that lingered this time, and it was disconcerting. He kept glancing around the large space to see if he could figure out who was burning holes into the back of his head, but he couldn't place his finger on who it was.
He casually looked over his shoulder for what felt like the thousandth time in the span of twenty minutes, and his eyes paused slightly on a table in the center of the room. It was Felix's usual table, and Minho had never quite understood why they always wanted to sit in the middle of the room, where they were viewable from every angle. Maybe it was because he'd personally always preferred the furthest possible corner to sit near.
He felt his eyebrows furrow slightly when he saw a boy he'd never seen before wrap his arm around Jisung's shoulders. Are they dating? He wondered, and bit his lip, turning his eyes away. He, quite frankly, had not been expecting Jisung to swing that way.
He shrugged and continued to listen to Jeongin rant about a cute kitten he'd spotted on the way home. Life is full of surprises.
