Jungkook was an avid believer in angels, how else could he explain the glowing angel that was sat beside him.

The inked male was used to keeping his emotions at bay and putting up walls to keep anyone from coming in, especially after everything that happened last time.

And yet here he was, trying his hardest not to let his nervousness show as his hand intertwined with his boyfriend.

True. The two had been sexually involved, and both had expressed their feelings, but today was important, it was a date that they both would remember for the rest of their lives as their first date.

The first time they publicly show their love, and to say Jungkook was scared was an understatement.

Especially since he knew he needed to talk to Jimin about Yugyeom.

The issues in the past were resolved and both the exes were on good terms and Jimin had come to accept the fact that Jungkook needed time to feel comfortable in a relationship again.

But it was only respectful for anyone to explain to someone they cared about, about the things in life that made them a certain way, whether it be a positive or negative thing.

"Where are we going?" Jungkook was brought out of his thoughts as he looked over to Jimin, the boy's eyes wide and hopeful, excitement overfilling.

"It's a surprise baby." Jimin smiled at the pet name as he sat back, watching as the trees passed.

The smaller boy was staring at the tattooed hand on the steering wheel, his curiosity bubbling up as he traced the shapes on his hands.

Jimin loved all of Jungkook's tattoos, one of his favorites being the rose that started on the back of his hand and found its way down his arm.

Jimin couldn't help but think that the boy was like a rose.

He has his thorns and walls, preventing people from getting too close, but once you move past those and take hold of the smooth part of the stem, you experience the whole rose, the addicting smell, the gorgeous colors.

And once you take in the whole picture, thorns and all, you see the rose for what it truly is.

An outstanding beauty.

The two drove for close to an hour before they were parked at the edge of a mountain.

Confusion struck on Jimin's face.

"Come on pretty boy.." Jungkook called, walking towards a paved trail.

"Are you taking me away so you can murder me?" The question causing Jungkook to chuckle, taking the ridiculous boy's hand.

"Trust me, if I wanted to kill you, I already would have.."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

The walk consisted of trees that were blooming, flowers that lined the path, and the sounds of wildlife synchronizing their sweet sounds.

The walk itself was incredible, but it was nothing compared to the sight in front of them.

At the top laid a burgundy blanket, candles shimmering on top and a basket of food waiting.

Weeping willows surrounded the scene, lanterns and lights hung down, creating a masterpiece that shown bright.

"Y-you did this for me?" Tears filled the boy's eyes, staring at the artwork in front of him, completely ignoring the brilliant scene.

"Of course, I wanted to do something special, I mean it—"

Jungkook couldn't finish his sentence before Jimin ran and jumped in his arms, kissing his cheeks, both boys in pure bliss.

"You don't have to tell me..." Jimin placed a piece of cheese in his mouth, watching as his boyfriend laid down on his back.

The older doing the same.

Jungkook placed a strand of hair behind his boyfriends ears as he gently kissed his cheek.

"You said you wanted to get to know each other better..." Jimin nodded, making sure to pay extra attention, knowing this subject was hard for Jungkook to talk about.

"Yugyeom and I met when we were fourteen, we had just started high school and he was friends with some boys that Namjoon always hung out with..." Jungkook started.

"It wasn't a secret that I thought he was very attractive, and I guess he felt the same way, we started as acquaintances, and I'm not sure how we ended up confessing, but everything just happened smoothly, things just falling into place."

"Our relationship was pure, if you didn't know us before hand you would think we were only best friends, it wasn't until two years later that our relationship became more intimate, but we still didn't go all the way."

"We ended up dating all four years of high school, and then broke up mutually when his career started to take off, him moving to Japan to pursue dancing."

"And I guess in my head he would come back for me, but then he never contacted me and so I kind of just shut off, I started casually dating and hooking up, and Namjoon was the one who signed me up for Sugar On Top saying I just needed someone to need me for a while."

"And then I met you, and I got confused because I never thought I would care for someone as much as I did him."

"When he came back I got excited because I thought he came for me, turning out that he had cheated on me for our last year of our relationship and he had been dating that guy for the past two years."

"And that's what I needed to drive me away and fall into your arms..." Jungkook smiles, watching as Jimin's eyes were teary.

The smaller of the two couldn't help but get emotional, wondering how anyone could hurt his sweet Kookie.

The inked male, who used to only smirk and usually had a scowl etched on his face was glowing in the light of his boyfriend staring into his eyes.

Jungkook had become closed off and cold, but as Jimin crawled closer, wrapping himself in his boyfriends arms, the smaller boy realized why he had used sex and gifts to try and buy the others affection, why he was possessive.

He wanted to be needed.

For years Jungkook was the one who relied on someone else.

"I love you," Jimin whispered, placing a gentle kiss under Jungkook's ear.

"What about you?" Jimin looked up, smiling as he kissed his boyfriends nose.

"Not too much to tell, I grew up in a loving home, until I came out and then I was disowned, but thankfully I had Jin and Taehyung who took me in, us three knowing each other since we were kids."

Jungkook leaned over his boyfriend and smothered him in tickles, knowing that he would never leave him like his parents did.

That he would love him with his whole heart unashamedly and without fear.

The rest of the night consisted of small talk and giggles.

Jungkook bringing up gifts that he had bought Jimin that he had never seen him wear, and Jimin blushing because of the straightforwardness.

As they both drove home, staying in Jungkook's house which was soon to be Jimin's as well, they ended up smothered under the blankets, whispering sweet nothings and filling the room with moans, letting the world know who they belonged to.
