Chapter 13: Back To The Apartment

By the time we finally got back to the apartment building'a driveway, it was pouring out if the heavens! We hopped out of the car and started walking to the door. Andy met me across the hood and one minute I was freezing cold in the cool summer breeze, and the next, I had a warm arm around my shoulder. I looked up into Andy's eyes; Large pools of blue. They had a hint of... Excitement in them? I kept staring into his eyes, him staring back at me for the same amount of time.

We were walking in unison, together, and we weren't even looking ahead, just at each other.

Andy broke the staring session, and guided me, holding on tightly into my shoulder as we walked through the door.

I lead the way up the stairs. He trailed after me, starting to talk about the most random stuff ever. Was this his ADHD side kicking in? Either way, it was cute how he talked on and on about something far off.

He would ask me stuff about Pop Tarts like which one was the most delicious and which one was the most 'visually appealing'. I said that my favourite to eat was the Strawberry one and it was also the most visually appealing. He said that he agreed with me that the Strawberry one was the most delicious, although the most visually appealing one was the Oreo one. I sware, you could keep him talking on the same topic forever. I love that he's so random! He is so young at heart.

We got to where my door was and he hugged me from behind while I was *trying to* unlock the door. I missed the keyhole. Damn it, he always had to make me nervous like this, didn't he? Would this awkwardness ever go away?

In the end, I did unlock the door. A simple task that ended with me using more effort than nessecary. It was embarrassing, though, with his hugging me from behind, peering over my shoulder watching me act all weird. It made me feel self-conscious.

When we got inside and he wasn't so close to me, I told him to make himself at home and sit wherever he liked. He just sat on the couch politely, staring at me. There was this silence in the space between us. Now was the hard part: breaking the ice.

"So... Uhh... What do you wanna do?" I ask, thinking hard of something to entertain him.

"Hmm... I don't know about you, but I'd just like to sit here and chat for a while." He suggested.

What did he think I meant?! I blushed at that thought.

"Yeah, sure, we can do that." I say.

He shrugged out of his blazer, exposing his bare arms for the first time. No war paint. No jacket. Just his tight white tank top and his pale, tattooed arms. "I am so glad to take this God awful hot blazer off..."

Me, too, Andy, me too... I thought.

He stretched out his arms and ran his fingers through his half-shaved slick black hair. He was so sexy without even trying; It was unbelievable. He was still wearing his dress pants. Probably the only pants he wore that weren't skinny, and he still looked hot.

"Y-You want me to take that for you?" I ask, nervously, blushing.

He handed me his blazer, and I hung it up in the closet next to mine.

Jeez, it was raining even more now. I saw the droplets multiply on the window behind Andy. The lights on the nearby freeway reflected on the drops of water and made them look like various colours.

My room lighting was kinda dim. The light above our heads was shining marvellously on Andy's face, outlining his high cheek bones in shadows.

Andy broke my thoughts when he spoke up.
