THEN-
Daryl slammed the door closed behind us, I turned to look at him. "Tha' hell was you thinkin Beth?" He growled. "Im sorry." I whispered. "Why ain't you tell me?" He asked. "How? How could I tell you i was planning on killing Negan?" I asked. "How could you not?" He asked. "It was the only thing I could try to do Daryl! I had to try!" I cried out. "That ain't you.." He mumbled. "But it was, it is." I said. "I told you not to risk nothin' for me!" He snapped. "You ain't have no business making choices like that for me! I told you that!" He pointed his finger in my face. "Screw you Daryl! I did it to save you! You would've done the same!" I said getting closer to him. "Nah I would've done some different, wouldn't have went on a suicide mission, for what? Who asked you to do it Beth, you ain't get the idea out of no where! I wouldn't have let that shit happen." He said. "Like how you didn't let anything  happen to Abraham or Glenn? Just sat back and watched right?" My words firing at him. "Fuck you lil' Princess, SHIT was stupid." He mumbled. "You thought that was gonna work just fine? You though you'd just slip it in and walk out free huh? You that dumb? You would've been killed Beth!" Daryl stood straight up as he spoke to me, he began walking towards me bumping  past my shoulder. "Daryl." I whispered as I went to grab his arm, he yanked away. "You about dumb as hell, playing undercover agent as if you wasn't gonna get hurt. You think you someone different? You still the same lil' girl who cut her wrist, don't ever forget that. Your weak!" He shoved his hand in his pocket and threw the battle across the room, I quickly ducked "What tha hell!" I shouted, I stared at him His eyes staring right back at mine, telling me how fired up the situation got him. "I ain't weak asshole." I firmly said. The dim light lit half of his face as we stood feet apart, we were both in defense mode our breathes heavy. It felt like we stood there for so long, both just waiting for someone to say the next thing, or someone to back away, but neither of us did. We stood there holding our ground our eyes not leaving each other. "We leavin' tonight." He mumbled as he took a step back. "How?" I asked turning away from him. "Iono Beth! It's too risky to stay here." He mumbled. "He didn't drink it." I blurted out. "What?" Daryl asked. "The drink got knocked over.. Negan's still alive." I said looking over at him. Daryl let out a sigh as he sat on the bed. "I'm tryna keep us alive.." he mumbled. "I know." I didn't hold back my tongue, he stared up at me, trying to calm himself down. "I ain't mean to say that... iono what's gotten into us. We fightin' like some damn children." He said. I went over and sat beside him and shrugged. "Guess we both just tired." I mumbled. "You tired of me?" He asked. I chuckled and then looked at him noticing how serious he was. "Oh.. you're being serious." I said. "Is you?" He asked. "No.. well.. it's just been a lot, but I'm not tired of you Daryl. Just tired of your asshole ways." I admitted. Daryl shrugged and laid back on the bed putting his arms under his head. "Tired of yo ways too." He said. "Oh whatever." I rolled my eyes. "Beth." Daryl said looking at me, I turned my body to look at him as I mumbled "Hm?" He looked at me, then looked away. "Never mind." He mumbled, I looked down at him and nudged him.  "What is it?" I asked. He looked back at me and sighed "it's nothin'." I rolled my eyes "it ain't nothin.. what is it Daryl?" I said again waiting for him to say what he needed to say. "I wanna get you back to Maggie.." he whispered, my expression quickly changed as I stared at him. "Wanna get you home in one piece.. I owe you that." He added. I felt my eyes blink a couple times in a row as I felt the tension between us change. "You don't owe me anything." I whispered lowering my head. "I owe you everythang." He mumbled. I looked back up at him it felt like we were closer then how we really were sitting, as if our backs were against a wall and he was right there. "I owe you more then what you owe me..." I whispered. "Nah.. you already paid for it." He said shifting in the bed. "How?" I asked. He stared at me then shrugged "You know.." he mumbled. I felt a smile come across my lips as I chuckled. "What?" Daryl couldn't help but smile, his soft and subtle, but beautiful. "We've been through this all before." I mumbled. Daryl looked up taking his right hand out from underneath his head and laid it by his side and chuckled "We have." He agreed. It was good to smile, actually smile.. seeing him like this made my heart flutter in my chest. My hand was inches away from his, the back of his hand brushing against mine. I looked down at our hands, my heart racing. I let my hand brush against his, his eyes falling on to our hands. His thumb brushed against the side of my hand, the touch made me warm, my eyes slowly searched for his, my hands twirling in between his. There was that feeling again, the one I felt anytime things got complicated between us. It was a awkward feeling, it was mixed emotions that I never understood. At times Daryl felt like my bestfriend, though I knew he'd never agree, but at other times.. it felt like something more. Something that scared the both of us.. I could see Daryl staring back at me as my breathes slowed down. I began to push myself forward hovering over him, as I watched his facial expressions, our faces only inches apart, he looked down at my lips and I looked down at his. Our hand unraveled as he lifted his arm and placed it on my back, I knew that was my answer. I placed my lips against his rough pink lips, my heart completely racing as our lips moved together. His hand caressing my waist as he gently touched me, I pulled back to look in his eyes. He was doing it again, searching for reassurance. He moved his hand from my back and placed it by his side. I hadn't known how high of the anticipation for this moment was until I was finally doing it. My body hovering over his, it at all felt awkward, but it made me feel safe.. I craved this. Daryl's heart was racing in his chest, he unexpectedly pushed himself up and rolled me on my back, he allowed his hands to caress my waist, his fingers running up and down my soft skin. He wanted to kiss me, or at least I thought he did. He was hovering above me as I was hovering above him, his face burning red in color as his eyes lusted over my lips. Daryl hesitated then cleared his throat, slipping off from on top of me. He sat on the edge of the bed and ran a hand through his messy brown hair. I lifted myself up as I watched him closely, he was resisting. Daryl wasn't the affectionate type or the type to make the first move, he was timid and awkward but it made things different. Every small detailed touch, every word, every small glance, every stare, every connection started to add up. Started to grow into a craving we never knew we had, a craving that was intoxicating and so strong we didn't know how to handle it. It wasn't just lust and it wasn't just love, it was a bond neither of us could truly understand. "Daryl." I whispered pulling him out of his thoughts. He tilted his slightly to the left as he looked at me from the corners of his eyes. "Hm?" He mumbled staring at me with those puffy glass like eyes, his stare made my heart rapture in my chest. I wanted to say a thousand things, but nothing came out I just stared at this man I was growing to care about in ways I never knew I could. I couldn't resist how I felt, I refused to keep ignoring it. Since the moments we were alone before Terminus, before reuniting with the group, being alone in that house, at the table when I asked him what changed his mind, I had knew I loved him then.. but I could never understood how I loved him, but now.. at this moment, when his eyes were lying on mine, when his breathes were slow and his hair just was scattered across his face, I knew what I was feeling, and when I lifted my eyes up to look into his.. I knew he felt it too. I pushed forward laying my hand on the right side of his jaw, pushing my lips against his. I pulled away and smiled "I have something for you." I whispered, I slipped off the bed and walked over to the dresser, a pile of clothes sitting on top of something I knew he'd like. His crossbow. His eyes laid on it and he stood up so quickly, I slowly pushed it out for him to grab, his eyes running over it. "How'd 'yah-" i stooped him from finishing his question "It doesn't matter, it's here now." I said with a smile.
