"Alright, bro this is it," Zoe whispered into her brother's ear. She was wearing a long dark dress that flowed down her waist and stopped at her ankles, matching his dark suit. "Are you ready to be bounded to the man you love most?"

Connor shifted his weight between his legs and took a few nervous steps around the alter, trying to hide a smirk. "That's...extremely kinky."

"I don't think Jared's marrying Evan today. Or did I read the invitation wrong?" Zoe giggled and Connor elbowed his sister jokingly.

"That would be such a Jared thing to do, stealing my husband on my wedding day," her brother just rolled his eyes and cracked a small smile, until one of the ushers strode up to him.

"You're Connor, right?" He asked nervously, his eyes big and dark with worry. The groom nodded his head and the usher sighed. "Thank god. Evan needs you. He doesn't want to come out of the bathroom."

And Connor immediately knew why, and felt bad for not being there for him. He knew how much anxiety Evan was getting from all of this and he should have been there for him. It was stupid of him to leave his fiancé alone, especially on the most crucial day of their adventure together. So in a split second he was out of the room and down the hallway, where Heidi and Jared stood outside a door, looking like two hopeless puppies.

"Evan, please opened the door," Heidi whispered calmly and lightly rapped on the door. "You don't have to go through with all of this, but you can't stay in there forever, hun. Just come out so we can talk. You know I love you no matter what."

Jared was about to say something else when he noticed Connor speed walking down the hallway. "Oh thank god. We tried but he's not answering."

Connor made a gesture for both of them to go off down the hallway before he leaned in close to the door. "Ev? Are you in there?"

He heard a few sniffles and stifled sobs before a shaky voice answered. "C-Connor?"

"Just unlock the door. Please," the taller boy felt a rush of relief when the door clicked and a pair of arms embraced him in the tightest hug he'd ever received.

"Connor I'm sorry I'm being a wimp," Evan sobbed into his shoulder, and his fiancé kissed his forehead. "I don't deserve you."

"You're not being anything else other than perfect," Connor rubbed his back soothingly. "If you want we can call the whole thing off and just..."

"But I don't want to wait. I want to be your husband, I really do," the blonde wiped his tear-stained cheeks, trying to act tough. "But this whole thing is just so much and not being with you yesterday just-"

"I know and I'm so sorry, that was a dick move on my end and I'll never do it again," Connor pressed his lips to the shorter's forehead reassuringly. "I'm so sorry."

"Do you lovers need a few more minutes?" Jared called from a little ways down the hallway. "I'm sorry to rush your bonding moment but people are waiting. We're on a tight, flexible schedule."

Evan and Connor shared a look before the blonde wiped his eyes and smiled. "I'm ready."

Connor took his hand. "I've been ready since the day I met you."

Neither of the two remembered anything about what happened during the ceremony, mostly because they weren't paying attention half the time.

The ring bearer almost scared Evan half to death when he gave him their bands for the ring exchange. The short blond was caught so off guard that he physically jumped in the air. The crowd couldn't help but let out a small chuckle in response and Evan was mortified, but after that everything went smoothly.

Until Connor zoned out right at the end and almost missed the big kiss.

In his defense, he'd never been to a wedding [or at least one that he could remember] so he didn't realize how boring and agonizingly long the whole ceremony part would be. He thought it would be like in the movies, the priest would say a quick little something, they'd exchange vows and rings, then kiss and be on their way. But no. There was a lot more than that.

So by the time the ending finale with their "I do's" and first kiss as husbands came around, Connor's mind was in who knows where thinking about who knows what.

It took him a couple taps on the shoulder from his now-husband to finally realize they were done and they could connect lips and go eat and party. The audience clapped and laughed nonetheless.

Once they pulled away, Zoe laughed. "I wonder what you were thinking about..."

"Shut your mouth," Connor glared at her jokingly before the receiving line came around.

And...I suck.
