Mabel walked into the library, not caring that her hair was a absolute mess, with twigs and leaves in it still from her last adventure, which had happened only minutes ago. Mabel went up to the lady at the counter, smiling. The lady gave her a smile back, but the bewildered look in her eyes told Mabel the true story of how she truly felt.
"I'll be sitting over there, taking notes, if that ok. Tell me when the library closes, please mam." Mabel decided to ask very sweetly. The lady calmed, and gave her genuine smile that made Mabel smile.
"Of course, dearie! have a good time here in the library!" The lady waved Mabel off. Mabel nodded.
"Thank you for your help, madam." Mabel thanked the lady.
"No problem, Miss..." The lady trailed off.
"Pines. Mabel Pines" Mabel told the lady, heading off to the table with a wink. The lady laughed a bit at Mabel's antics before a new person came in and talked to her.
Mabel sighed with relief as she sat down. Finally. It was time. Mabel took off her backpack and took out the paper and pencil. She put them on the table, and took out the journal. It was time to read and analyze.

July 12, 1988
I continue to study everything I have found, but I find myself wanting to analyze something that my muse said. (burn this page later before anyone can read it, as they would surly think I'm crazy for thinking about a muse) My muse said that if I should want to complete the task of discovering something for the Corduroy's, I should need a way into another world. In fact, another DIMENSION! I am thinking my muse is crazy, but he's never been wrong before.
Anyways, from now on,, I will keep a log in here about anything I find, just like I did for 1 and 2 , as well as stuff from my muse.

Mabel finished reading that first page with confusion. A muse? Is that why and how the author got all this information. Also, the author had said something about finding out something for the Corduroy's. Mabel was invested in this already. Eagerly, Mabel scribbled down a few things on her notes.
"-Author had a muse of some sort. Wonder who it is.
-Had contact with the Corduroy's
-There's a 1 and 2?"
Mabel found herself just taking that in. So journal three wasn't the only journal out there. No wonder Dipper had tried to take it the first time they had met. He probably had one himself.
Mabel shook her head, and made a mental note to construct some theories on a different piece of paper later. Mabel flipped to the next page.

July 13, 1988
I discovered something extraordinary! A new lead in my investigation! I discovered some special plants that could help in my quest. Listen carefully. These plants are called fleur chiffrée (at least that's what I named them) and they have future vision capabilities! They are found deep in the forest, where the gnomes could be found.
I have managed to take some of these and smash them into a soup. Will write again with results!

Mabel gaped at the book. So, there are some flowers with future vision capabilities? How cool! Mabel made a mental note to go try to find some of these. They might give her some hope for a better future. Mabel picked up the pencil, and scribbled some more notes down in addition to her old ones.
"-Author had a muse of some sort. Wonder who it is.
-Had contact with the Corduroy's
-There's a 1 and 2?
-Flowers called fleur chiffrée that have future vision capabilities (wonder if that's in a different language. Sounds like French for flower, and some other word. I will have to translate it)
-Flowers found in forest near where Gnomes are"
Mabel smiled in satisfaction with her notes, and turned to the next page in the journal.
