I lightly curl my hair and do a natural makeup look. I walk out of my bathroom and grab my phone. I walk out of my room into the kitchen. I text Jake... 'Gonna have to cancel... don't know who will be there when I show up.' I start to make coffee when I hear a knock at the door. I put down my spoon and walk to the door. I open it.
Rocky: Iced Vanilla latte with Almond Milk
She passes me a Starbucks drink.
Erika: Thank you
She walks in. I shut the door. I follow her. We sit in the living room. I take a drink of my latte.
Rocky: Are you feeling better?
Erika: I can't waste my time on him. He obviously wants to still make me feel hurt so there's no point. I thought maybe we could talk and work this out but apparently it's not gonna work. What are you doing today?
Rocky: Anthony and I are going to Beauty Longe Med Spa.
I nod.
Rocky: wanna join?
Erika: Nah I'll just chill here.
Rocky and I talk for a little longer.
Rocky: I better get going.
I nod.
Erika: Thanks for the coffee
Rocky: No problem
Erika: Bye
Rocky: ily
Erika: ily
She leaves. I chill on the couch drinking my latte and thinking.
Steph: What you thinking about?
Erika: I thought you were at work?
Steph: I came to grab my laptop.
She leans against the kitchen counter.
Steph: you're okay right?
Erika: I just need a day to chill.
Steph nods.
Steph: Okay
She walks to her room and walks out a few minutes later with her laptop.
Steph: Have fun with Netflix.
I nod.
Erika: Have fun at work.
She walks out the front door. My phone starts buzzing in my back pocket. I get it out.
Jake: 'Wtf that suppose to mean?'
Erika: 'Just leave me alone Jake.'
He doesn't answer. Ouch.
