we all have a favourite book that we can read over and over again without losing interest in it. although we know exactly what the storyline is, and how it all comes crashing down, we still choose to read it once more.

after mine and jacks little moment yesterday which noah rudely interrupted, we made our way inside and went to our rooms to get changed into something more comfortable to watch movies. after drying myself off i put on black leggings and a plain white shirt which i tied at the side since it was slightly too big. i left my hair in a messy bun so it was out of the way while it dried, and i made my way downstairs to the others. as expected, the room was huge - there was a sofa that lead around pretty much half of the room and a giant tv screen playing the movie they were watching. the lights were switched off and a few candles were lit, creating a peaceful atmosphere

i went and sat beside noah and he turned to look at me, sending me a smirk to refer to how he found me and jack earlier. i jokingly rolled my eyes and elbowed him, hoping he couldn't see me blush in the dim light.
soon later, jack finally came downstairs wearing light grey trackies and a black hoodie. he looked and saw that the only free space left was beside me, so that's where he sat. he left a space between us, but not as big a space as he'd usually leave. i looked over at him, seeing that he seemed quite nervous - maybe because he didn't know whether i was okay with him sitting beside me after what had just happened. i sent him a smile to let him know it was okay, and he seemed to relax slightly, sending back a smile in return. we both turned back to the screen and watched the remainder of the movie. i didn't know what had happened in the movie, i was just excited for the drinks we'll be having afterwards

jacks pov
everyone was drunk. everyone. i had drank a little bit, but not enough to be intoxicated like the others. i was too focused on what happened earlier; when me and cassie kissed. this time, neither of us were drunk at the time, so it wasn't accidental. and she doesn't seem to be angry about it either which is a huge relief. since the day i first saw her when brook brought her back, i couldn't believe it was her. yes, we've had quite a few ups and downs since then but i think things might actually be getting better
