cassie's pov

i woke up and reached my arm out to search for the boy that slept beside me the previous night, but all i found was an empty space. i opened my eyes to see that no one was there. did i imagine it all? confused, i rubbed my eyes and sat up, just as jack walked back into the room

"oh did i wake you?" he asked, nervous that he'd disturbed my peaceful sleep

"no i just woke up" i yawned,
"where did you go?"

"just to the bathroom" he replied, climbing back in beside me. i nodded and moved into his chest, letting him wrap his arms around me. we stayed like this for a while, until his gentle morning voice broke the silence

"cassie?" he asked as he started to play with my hair, making me smile

"mhm?" i mumbled, keeping my face hidden in his chest

"y-you don't have to but could i maybe t-take you out somewhere tonight?" he quietly stuttered, clearly nervous. i tilted my head up and looked at him, starting to smile

"as a date?" i smiled, and the grin on my face must have calmed his nerves

"as a date" he confirmed, smiling a lot.

"of course" i smiled, cuddling back into him,
"have you got something planned?" i asked, becoming curious to what he could have came up with so quickly

"yes - for a long time actually. i never thought i'd be able to make it happen" he smiled, sitting up slightly,
"but if it's going to be as amazing as i want it to be, i'll have to leave now" i clung onto him as he tried to get out of the bed, not wanting him to leave.

"mmmn" i groaned, my head not leaving his chest

"cassie you'll see me later, i promise it will be amazing" he smiled, running his hand through my hair. i sat up and let him move, shuffling over as he stood up from the bed. i watched him as he picked up his shirt and pulled it over his head

"if you get bored at some point you can come to our place, the boys won't mind. and you can dress normally, i know you don't like going fancy" he said, walking towards my bedroom door,
"i'll see you tonight" he smiled, looking the happiest i've seen him in so long.

"bye" i smiled, watching him walk out, and listening to his footsteps lead himself out of my apartment. i laid back and smiled to myself.

me and jack are going on a date

i lifted myself out of my bed, aimlessly walking around my apartment in search of something to cure my boredom that had somehow already begun. jack had barely been gone five minutes, but i couldn't stop thinking about what he could have possibly planned for tonight. these next few hours are definitely going to seem as if they've lasted years

it came to four o'clock and i decided i should head over to the boys' flat. i wasn't dressed up fancy, i didn't need to impress jack. i'm comfortable the way i am when i'm around him. i picked up his hoodie to take with me since he'd probably want it back, and made sure i had everything i needed before setting off. my lips twisted into a smile as i thought about jack

once i'd reached the flat, i knocked on the door, watching it open to reveal mikey. he let me in and went back to doing his own thing while i sat on the sofa beside rye, who was happily watching amelia as she sat on the floor, doodling onto a piece of paper. she seemed off in her own world. i placed the folded hoodie onto the arm of the chair beside me

"hey," i smiled to rye,
"did i miss anything yesterday?" something was bound to happen when everyone return home yesterday, they live a pretty eventful life
