*Kaydence's POV*

"I've been noticing something," Kris spoke up. I was on the couch between Bea and Jaylen. "What?" I looked over at him.
"You and Jaylen are always busy at the same time, gone at the same time," he looked at us, "Y'all bet not have anything going on."
"Why?" Jaylen spoke up, chuckling.
"Cause that's my sister and you're my best friend," Kris didn't laugh.
"But why does it matter?" I looked at him, shrugging a little.
"Cause I said so," Kris shrugged. I just shook my head and laughed a little bit. I leaned back on the couch more and looked at him. I got my phone out and just shook my head at Kris. "What??" Kris spoke up again. I looked up at him. "What's your problem?" he asked.
"You aren't the boss of what I do," I laughed, "So what if Jaylen and I are taking? It's my life."
"But I don't want my best friend to play my sister. He aint a relationship type guy. I've known him longer than you and I know how he works," he told me. I looked over at Jaylen and then back at Kris and shrugged my shoulders. "Whatever," I shrugged a bit. I looked at my phone and just ignored everything else. What if Kris is right? What if Jaylen is just a sweet talker? Not someone to settle down....

"What's going on?" Jaylen asked. Kris and Bea left to go get food and it was just Jaylen and I. I shook my head at him and shrugged. "Talk to me Kadeee," he groaned a little bit.
"Nothing okay??" I sighed, looking at him.
"Is it really what Kris said??" he asked, "That's not me aight? Yeah I haven't had a girl in a hot minute cause no girl wants to settle down."
"Well maybe I do," I shrugged.
"Well then lets work it out," he told me, "So we can settle down together."
"What about Kris?" I asked.
"He cant stay mad at either of us," he told me. He's right. I Nodded and shrugged a little bit. "Yeah I guess you're right," I nodded, "But like. Do you think he's going to be mad about it though?"
"He seemed like it" he nodded, "But I don't really give a shit. I like who I like."
"Yeah," I nodded, "Fine. Can we just keep it to us until we are sure about it for real?"
"Yeah," he agreed. He leaned over and kissed my forehead a few times. I smiled small at him and nodded. "Thanks," I told him.
"Anything for you," he smiled at me.
