(D. k.)

If I told you,
I lost myself trying to save me,
would you believe?
Or would you see me to be;
Yet another lost cause,
Seeking excuses,
For failing to forecome his failure anxieties?
Would you look me in the eyes,
And judge me with a spit on my face,
Whilst mockery of me,
running through your mind?
Would you cast me aside,
And leave my bones to rot,
Feeding on my shame,
Like a vulture?

Leaving no room for redemption,
You told me all the locked doors,
Were filled up.
Casting me away to the tides of the night,
This dark room, has become yet another home.
It becomes easier for you to judge,
Wearing your own shoes on,
Whilst watching me wear mine.
What you don't see,
Is the snare and pestilence beneath my sole,
Eating up the flesh underneath my feet.
Tearing me limb, from limb,
Paralysing my every desire to move.
You watched me shed tears on my knees,
Begging for mercy
While all you did was laugh,
And completely ignore me.

It's a fate, you can never tell what's forecoming,
So I leave you in the hands of karma.
I hold no grudges against you,
I'm the one who made me the villain of this story.
By losing Myself,
To me.
