Chapter 47

Gauri's POV

Omkara (turning to Saumya) - Saumya... I am really sorry for not having faith in you and for being so stupid towards you. How can I ever think that my innocent and kind sister would ever do that? I know what I did really hurt you and I am willing to do anything to get my little sister's forgiveness... I don't want to force you to forgive me but just remember Saumya that now instead of having just one brother, you have two and I will be there beside you if anything wrong happens to you and this brother will not make the same mistake again... he will not hurt you again...

I look at Omkara with a shocked expression, I never expected him to apologise to Saumya like that... the speech is so beautiful... I can sense that old Omkara that di used to talk about come back. Stop Gauri! You can't forgive him so easily, he has distrusted you and hurt you...

Shivay (joining Saumya and Om) - Saumya, will you forget your bade bhaiya as well? I know I have hurt you a lot and I have even said rude stuff to you. But I have realised my mistake... I am really sorry Saumya, I shouldn't have hurt an innocent soul like you... I would understand if you don't want to forgive me... as I have hurt you even more than your bade Baal vaale bhaiya... I promise not to hurt you again... I am really sorry

I wouldn't forgive him, because he has hurt my di a lot and I hope that Saumya doesn't either. His ego needs to be smashed by someone because he thinks that no one can refuse him.

Saumya (letting go of the hug and teary-eyed) - Bade bhaiya... I would forgive you... but you have hurt my Anika di a lot and unless my di wholeheartedly forgives you... then I would forgive you but if my di doesn't forgive you then I can't... I am sorry

I silently take Ansh, Saumya and Omkara away from di, Neil and Avni so that they can talk their problems out. Ansh who was asleep until now starts to cry,

Omkara (smiling) - Can I hold him?

Me (nervous) - Of course

I silently give a crying Ansh to Omkara who starts to play with him to calm him down and surprisingly Ansh starts to smile with Omkara. Ansh hates strangers, he normally cries when he goes into some stranger's arms but I guess Ansh knew that Omkara is his chacha.

Saumya (smiling) - Bhaiya, you know he hates strangers... but I guess he likes you

Omkara (smiling) - yes he does... after all I am his chachu... right... I am also his mausaa... right Ansh?

Ansh starts to smile wider while Omkara looks at me with a smirk.

Saumya (smiling) - Bhaiya, let me take Ansh...

Omkara (smiling) - No Saumya, let me play with my nephew for some time...

Omkara starts to play with Ansh while I just look at him feeling jealous... Ansh is getting all the attention ... I will I was Ansh... What am I thinking? Oh god! I shouldn't think of all this...

Omkara (smirking) - Jealous?

Me (surprised) - J...je...jeal...jealous... and... me

Omkara (laughing) - I was talking to Saumya about Shivay being jealous seeing Neil and Anika so close... but looks like someone else is jealous... you know, you shouldn't be jealous of a baby...

Me (embarrassed) - N..no I am not jealous...

Omkara (smirking) - Then why are you stuttering?

Saumya (smiling) - Stop teasing my di bhaiya...

Omkara (smirking) - Whose side are you on Saumya? Your di or brother?

Saumya (smiling) - I am on... Ansh's side... meaning not on anyone's side

Anika di (worried) - let's go!

Saumya (worried) - Anika di, I will take Ansh and we can go... but I think bhaiya and di should have some alone time...

Anika di (smiling) - Ok, hurry

Me (stopping di) - no di, let me come with you... plus you need me right now...

Omkara (supporting me) - Yes Anika, she is right... we will meet tomorrow anyway

Me (surprised) - We will?

Omkara (smiling) - We will, tomorrow at 9:30 am at XYZ place... we have to meet Mr Smith... remember... and we have to go together as we are acting like a happily married couple

How could I forget that? Oh god, thank you so much Omkara

Me (smiling) - Obviously, I remember... see you...

I leave with a smile with Saumya with Ansh in my arms.
