Chapter 28 → Rayaan

"You girls didn't have to come with me you know" I said looking at Aaliyah and Ray
"Yeah but what kinda friends would we be not to bring some sort of support" Aaliyah smiled squeezing my hand
"Ray you don't have to do this" I said looking at her nervous chew her lip
"No. It's fine. I promise" she smiled

I sighed and knocked on the door. The door swung open to reveal a shirtless Austin.

"Hey ladies" Austin greeted
"Hey. Have you seen Nick. I need to talk to him" I said looking over his shoulder
"Yeah come on in" he said stepping aside

We walked into the house following the deafening sound of music coming from the backyard. We walked through the sliding door to see the boys having a barbecue.

"Hey guys" Edwin greeted from inside the pool

Before we could register anything Zion had Aaliyah over his shoulder as he jumped into the pool making her yell

"Touch me and I'll rip your limbs off" Ray growled at Brandon who sighed defeatedly before ushering her into the house.

I spotted Nick trying to sneak up on me.
"Can we talk. It's serious" I said sternly
"Well damn ma. Okay" Nick said ushering me into the house

We walked past Ray and Brandon in the kitchen and to the living room
"So what's up?" Nick asked sitting down
"I have some serious news to tell you." I said looking down
"Well me too" Nick said
"Okay how about we say them on three?" I suggested
"Okay" Nick nodded

We began the countdown. My heart was now going full speed. What if Nick didn't want this baby. I had developed some sort of feeling for Nick but I wasn't sure on being in a relationship with him.

"Will you be my girlfriend/ I'm pregnant" we said at the same time
"What!" We said again
"Wait repeat that!" We said again

"Nicholas don't play smart with me" I said ignoring his question
"You're what?" He asked in disbelief
"I'm pregnant" I whispered

Nick's face broke out into a smile as he scooped me into his arms. Twirling me as he happily smiled

"Okay put me down before I blow some serious chunks" I said as Nick stopped
"Well" He said putting his hands into his trunk pockets
"Well you ready to have this baby" I asked him
"Yeah" he smiled "I'm actually going to be a father"
"Yeah, I'm going to be a mother" I said

There was a moment that passed between us as Nick began to lean in. I felt tempted to do the same but pushed him back gently

"Just because we have a baby together doesn't mean we're a couple" I said sternly
"But-
"That night meant nothing. It was a mistake and now we're having a baby. Point blank periodt" I said walking away from him.

→Ray's POV

I leaned into the counter, waiting  for Brandon to speak.

"Are you gonna talk or just stare at me?" I asked him cocking an eyebrow
"Ray I can't keep doing this anymore" he said gesturing to us
"Doing what exactly" I asked rolling my eyes
"Staying away from each other. Ray we went from spending every waking moment together to hardly seeing each other-
"And that's my fault how?" I asked now becoming irritated
"I'm not saying-
"Yes you are B. I'm sorry I grind. I'm sorry I go out and get my paper and don't lazy around expecting my significant other to bring in the dough. I'm sorry I'm not some gold digger okay. You happy now" I yelled

Brandon sighed. He opened his mouth to respond only to be cut off my Charlotte walking in.

"So I thought this stroller would be super cute- what's she doing here?" Charlotte said sizing me up
"Hello great white whore" I smirked
"Ray" Brandon said sternly
"And there he goes again. Defending the wrong girl" I said turning to walk out

Brandon grabbed my wrist making me yank it back before turning to face him
"If you think defending Charlotte is your way of "getting back together with me" you're going about it the wrong way" I seethed
"Ray-
"Well maybe he doesn't want you anymore" Charlotte said behind Brandon

I simply closed my eyes and walked away
"I mean there must be a reason why he keeps coming back to this bomb ass pussy babe" Charlotte spat again

That's when I lost it. I went to jump for her but Brandon quickly caught me.

"The only reason I'm not beating your ass again is because you're pregnant" I seethed
"Well-
"Charlotte get out" Brandon said calmly

I looked to see Charlotte taken back
"What?" She asked
"You heard me" Brandon spat

Charlotte huffed, chucking the magazine at him, and storming out
