Chapter 40→ Aaliyah

I pulled up to the addiction center and pulled my shades off, letting the sun hit my face. I sighed and walked in, going to reception

"Hi, how may I help you" she smiled
"I'm here to collect Zion Kuwonu" I said

She nodded and typed on the computer, asking me to spell the surname for her.

"Oh he should be ready for you. So I'll go fetch him" she smiled

I looked down, not wanting to be in a gloomy mood for Zion I plastered a smile on.

"Hey" I heard making me look up. There stood Zion, wearing a pair of black jeans and a yellow hoodie. I smiled and ran up to him attacking him in a hug.

A hug that brought so much back I begun crying, sobbing into his shoulder as I let the last few months out.

*back at their house

I sat staring ahead, I was wearing Zion's hoodie. He handed me a cup of tea as he sat down next to me. I looked over at him and realized he looked a lot lighter now, and his dreads had grown more long and he had a bit of hair grazing his chin and upper lip

"Did you find Ray" Zion asked first
"Yeah" I said "in some house off the east."
"How is she?" Zion asked
"Bad. She was so beaten up, and he stabbed her in the side. She was so lifeless. When she lost consciousness I thought it was over for her completely. But they stabilized her but unfortunately she lost her baby all in the process" I explained
"Baby?" Zion asked in confusion
"She was pregnant and we didn't even know it" I shrugged

There was a moment of silence
"Look I'm sorry I didn't come and see you-
"I understand Liyah. Ray is first priority she's been around longer then I have and I was sad between four walls and Ray was god knows where. So I get it" Zion consoled

I gave him a meek smile as he pulled me into his embrace giving me a hug that I never knew I'd miss so much
