Chapter 50→ Rayaan

"You're dilated mam' we're gonna need you to push" he nurse encouraged
"No" I yelled out "I want my friends" I said

I looked up at Nick with pleading eyes as tears ran down my sweat covered face

"I promise, they'll be here" he said squeezing my hand, and as if on cue, Ray and Aaliyah burst through the doors. Aaliyah dressed fully in scrubs while Ray hopped in putting her shoe on. They took hold of my left hand as Nick had my right

I begun to push, with all my might as I left out roars of pain and agony

"Come on Rayaa, one last push" Ray encouraged
"You're almost there babe" Nick said

I gritted my teeth as I pushed on last final one. I kept my eyes closed. Focusing on the baby, when I felt it was too long I shot up, going to see my baby

"She's not crying! She's not crying Nick" I sobbed as Nick held me back
"Shhh baby, give her time" Nick said as they carted my baby away
"Rayaan, she's a fighter. I promise" Aaliyah smiled

The door burst open as the doctor walked in

"What's up Doc" Nick asked as he still held me
"So with your baby being a month early, we're kinda surprised he made it this healthy but here he is" he said
"He?" Nick asked
"Yes. It's a boy" the doctor said
"Look I don't have time to argue. Can I please see my baby" I demanded

A nurse came in with the baby, handing him over to me gently as he squirmed in my arms. He clutched onto my finger making me mentally die at his cuteness

"And I was planning the gender reveal, but I guess this was the best way to find out" Ray smiled sheepishly
"Uhhh Mrs Mara. There's a couple of people who'd like to see you" someone said
"Let then in" I smiled

"Mrs Mara I see" Ray smirked
"I like the sound of that
