Chapter 39→ Aaliyah

I paced the waiting room as we awaited news on Ray. After she had slipped into unconsciousness the ambulance arrived and carted her away. It's been about 16 hours since and we're still waiting for the news.

Ray's doctor walked into the room making all of us stand and look at him

"The surgery was a success, we managed to repair most of the damage." He announced making all of us sigh in relief "but she's lost a scary amount of blood and will need someone to donate-
"We'll do it" Ray's mom said
"Thank you Ms Naija but I'll test you all and find a match. If we can't find a match then she'll have to be put on the waiting list" he explained
"On the waiting list!" Rayaan asked
"Yes, but she's first priority" he said

"I have some unfortunate news thought, while we have Ray under control and stable we extracted a fetus from her womb" he said
"A baby?" I asked baffled
"Yes, unfortunately the baby didn't make it" he said

I was shocked, Ray showed no signs of being pregnant, how could she have been. And how was she not showing.

"How far along?" Brandon asked
"About 2 months" he said

I watched as Brandon backed away, he sat down and buried his head in his hands.

"You'll only be allowed to see her after the blood transfusion because now she's still in a fragile state" the doctor explained.

We all nodded before he disappeared.
