The familiar forest scent mixed with the euphoric state of a great night's sleep made me sigh in contentment. I didn't feel my usual fear about not knowing where I was. I could remember exactly where I was, Silas bed. After last nights meltdown I'd told Silas I didn't want to talk about it with a simple shake of my head and he'd dropped it. It was a pleasant surprise that he didn't push for answers or even try to deduce them on his own. Since he wasn't comfortable driving after we'd both been drinking I had stayed the night. He'd offered me a pair of sweat pants and a shirt to sleep in. With Cassy asleep on the couch he'd insisted that I take the bed. I'd had a huge morale dilemma between knowing he was not going to allow me to sleep on the floor and refusing to make him sleep on the floor in his own place so I ended up offering that we just sleep next to each other. His bed was huge and we had managed to sleep just fine next to each other the other night. He'd given me a long pause, I still have no idea what he'd been considering, but ultimately he agreed.

Last time we had slept in the same bed I had woken up to find Silas gone. This time, unfortunately for me, that was not the case. I didn't realize my mistake until I attempted to stretch. The warm pillow I'd just squeezed in my arms was solid as sin and clearly not a pillow. I'd also managed to trap my leg in my attempts to stretch and I was fairly certain that it was trapped between two other legs. I wasn't sure how to get out of this predicament without waking Silas up. I decided the first step was to make sure he was actually still asleep.

I opened my eyes quickly. I was going for a rip the band aid off technique but I was not ready to be trapped in the depths of Silas forest green eyes.

"Good morning, Leannan." His sleepy, husky, tone shot a rush of tingles strait down stairs. I jumped slightly from the shock of the jolt. The trap around my leg tightened and Silas closed his eyes briefly. He let out a cross between a sigh and a growl. When he opened his eyes again the beautiful shade of green had darkened considerably.

"May I have my arm for a moment?" He asked. My face flamed as I realized I was still holding tightly to both of his arms. Once I'd released his arms his hand disappeared under my blanket. I held my breath and waited to see what he was doing. My sleep addled brain was working too slowly to be anything beyond mildly concerned. The strange tingles magnified tenfold when his hand brushed down my thigh. He grasped my leg just above the knee and then suddenly my leg was no longer in the trap. His hand loosened to release me. I let out the breath I had been holding and tried to ignore the coil of disappointment that was suddenly smothering the tingles.

Silas grasp tightened back, he shifted, and suddenly he was hovering over me. His mouth was almost touching mine. I could feel the heat of his thigh between my legs and I fought the strange urge to arch into him. ~Is this what I just did to him?~ I wanted, needed, something so badly I could barely breathe.

"I'm gong to take a very cold shower and then we can talk about what happened last night." His lips weren't close enough to brush against mine as he whisper growled at me and it only made me want them more.

I gulped and nodded. I didn't know what else to do since it had felt like a question. His words finally caught up with my brain when he shifted to move away. He wasn't going to kiss me. In a brief moment of panic I grabbed a fist full of his shirt and arched up slamming my mouth into his. He let out a growl that made me shiver as he pushed me back into the bed. This kiss was nothing like the teasing gentle kiss last night. He devoured my mouth. His tongue had no mercy and his sudden dominance only seemed to fuel my desire for more. I tried to shift my legs so that I could press closer. His leg shifted pinning me in place and thwarting my attempt. I tried again and Silas pulled back a little. ~No!~ I whimpered mentally. Silas froze. He didn't move away any further and he didn't move back in to continue our kiss. Something was wrong.
