"Rylan..." Silas was calling me back from my dreamless sleep. I forced my eyes open and squinted. It was too bright in Silas truck. We were in Silas truck? I glanced around quickly in confusion. I couldn't remember when we had gotten into his truck. I couldn't remember saying good bye to Alpha Thane or any of the drive but Willow Pack territory was etched into my memory now. We were home.

'What happened?' I asked.

"The medication I gave you was too high of a dosage. It calmed you down for a minute but when your body continued processing it ended up working as a sedative instead of just a relaxant." Silas sighed.

'It was your prescription?' I asked. I remembered Matthew calling it Silas prescription.

Silas nodded.

'You still take medication?' I asked.

"No, not for years but I keep the prescription up to date just in case." He shrugged. "How are you feeling?"

'Groggy...?' I signed. It was the best word I could think of to describe how I was feeling. I could only remember parts of what had happened last night but from what I could remember it wasn't good.

'Are you ok?' I asked.

"Not really..." He admitted quietly. "But I will be after I take care of everyone that had a hand in hurting you like that."

I glanced up at Silas nervously. I knew his words were intended to imply their harsh demise but I couldn't picture Silas being that violent.

'What are you going to do?' I signed. I was asking about what he intended for the people in the facility, the man that had abused me, and Beta Bennett.

Silas reached over and tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Do you really want to know?" He sighed. His fingers lingered on my strand of hair.

I nodded.

"I'm going to rip their throats out with my teeth." He said quietly.

"Except for the one that marked you..." Silas traced one of the scars on my shoulder and I shivered. "I want him to suffer for this."

I gulped. I didn't know if he would be more or less angry when he found out about who had marked me. I couldn't tell him. I was still too afraid of the consequences. I had just started to think that this relationship might work. I had let Silas closer than anyone and in the process I had created two new threats and traumatized him with my own nightmares. I wouldn't be surprised if he couldn't stand to touch me like that again and he had every right to feel that way. I still wasn't even sure what exactly he had seen of my dream but even if he had only been pulled in for a second it was a second too much.

"What are you thinking?" Silas asked.

I shook my head. I didn't want to share the extent of my thoughts. I decided on a short and simple answer.

'One step forward two steps back.' I signed. It was close enough to the truth.

"I think one step back maybe but easily a marathon forward." Silas said with a half-hearted laugh.

"Yes the night terror was bad. It will take me a minute to reign in the pain I felt from seeing you go through that but..." He shook his head.

"In a matter of days I've learned so much my head is still spinning and the memory of the look on your face when you came for me can probably get me through any bumps in our relationship. I'll damn sure be doing that again when you're ready." He said with a smirk. My eyes widened and my cheeks heated at the reminder. I couldn't believe he was able to change subjects so quickly but I was relieved to know that he wasn't repulsed by me now.
