Chapter Twenty-Five

I sat on the bench taking in the view for a while longer. Being here seemed soo mesmerizing. I didn't want to get up, I didn't want to leave. Being here felt comforting. I stared up at the stars that twinkled within the vast darkness that rested around me. Tonight seemed so peaceful even after all the ruckus and commotion the boys caused earlier.

"You'll hurt your neck if you keep your head positioned like that." a chuckled followed behind the obvious statement.

"Oh really? I had no idea." I retorted back meeting the eyes of Jin, "Did they teach you that in medical school?" I sarcastically spat out.

"To be honest, I don't know... I never went." my eyes bulged and I stopped breathing for a bit.

"You what?! Jin what the hell? Isn't that like... I don't know, illegal?!" I can't believe this...

"Well yeah, but I've been around for quite some time you know, so I've learned. I may not have legitimate credentials, but trust me, I could save a life if I needed to. I know how to operate in surgery as well." he smiled planting his booty onto the bench.

"Uhhh... I don't know Jin, can't you get into some serious trouble?" I questioned raising my brows.

"Slow down Hana, it's not like I'm illegally doing doctor things." he chuckled. 

I cut him off before he continues, "Butttttt you also don't have a real license...".

He scrunched his face seemingly agreeing, "Yes, that is true. However, I have connections. I may not have 100% certified credentials, but the certificate I had made for me was approved by the state... so I am a doctor, legally." he chuckled again.

I'm blown away. I can't believe this. He doesn't even have the proper training but he still has his job, and he's not in jail.

"So you're good at it?" I raised a brow.

"Obviously, I'm still here and with my job, no stains to my record either. I'm doing just fine. Plus I've seen a lot of movies and tv shows!" he chuckled softly.

I sigh before slightly smacking my face with my palm, surprised, "Wow, that's actually pretty fascinating." I took my hand from my face and turned towards Jin, "Your an interesting person, you know that? You're quite strange." I chuckled.

"Most definitely. Oh and let's not forget about my looks. I'm insanely handsome." he winked sending an air kiss my way but I swatted it away.

"No can do, I'm happily taken." I chuckled lightly staring at his frowning face.

"Yeah, yeah. I know, but you couldn't have just played along?" he smiled.

"Nopeee." I stuck out my tongue teasing him.

We went silent for a while, "Jin, did you really start to develop feelings for me?" I turned to him once again.

"Didn't I tell you already? Yeah. I did, but I know my place. I genuinely like you, but Jimin is one of my best friends, I could never." he smiled.

I grabbed for his hand, "Jin thank you, but I'm sorry I can't return your feelings.".

He looked towards me confused, "I feel like I should properly turn you down. That way you can really move on. It would seem strange to leave it as is." he nodded his head in agreement.

"Thanks Hana." he let out a small windshield wiper-esque laugh.

"Well." I sighed out, "Let's get back inside, I'm sure Jimin's probably freaking out.".

"Well when I left him he told me he was going on a walk.".

"A walk? Where to?" Jimin's not the typical person to take a nightly stroll unless it was to get food.
