With my first day of UA quickly approaching, I began to grow more excited. The principal of my middle school called me to his office to congratulate me and the other two students who applied for passing.

I was surprised to see Midoriya and the blonde guy  from the sludge villain attack. The blonde was shaking with rage so I was quick to leave after the meeting.

Finally the time had come. Waking up to my alarm, I felt excitement and anxiety mix strangely in my stomach. Armed with my new uniform and a light breakfast, I was off to start the next chapter of my life.

Seeing the building again sent shockwaves through my system. It'll be hard to get used to it all. I entered the school and immediately began searching for my class.

My chest felt tight as I wandered through the large hallway with my head down. I finally found my homeroom and sighed.

Approaching the large door labeled 1-A, I took a deep breath before quietly opening it. I froze as everyone turned to me. I dropped my gaze and stepped into the room.

Suddenly, a blue haired boy rushed up to me. "Hello, my name is Iida Tenya! What's your name?"

My body froze, a familiar panic bubbling in my chest. I looked to my feet and took a breath before trying to find my voice. "U-um my name is
[L/n] [y-y/n]...." I trailed off, praying I was loud enough.

Tragically, fate wasn't on my side. "I apologize but I didn't hear you. You shouldn't mumble," he practically shouted.

I could feel my face burn as I internally berated myself. Talking isn't even that hard, how am I gonna be a hero? I took another breath, "I said my name is [L/n] [y/n]..." I cringed at the way my voice wavered. At least I was louder this time.

"[L/n], it's a pleasure meeting you." Suddenly, he turned and began berating another student for having his feet on the desk. I made a beeline to a seat in the back corner of the room and carefully sat down.

I placed my bag at my feet and looked around, watching the rest of the class interact. My anxiety slowly fizzled down and I noticed the student arguing with Iida was the angry one from my school. I quietly hoped he wasn't always that scary.

I was startled out of my thoughts by a hand smacking down onto my desk. "[L/n]! We're in the same class! This is awesome!!"

I looked up to see Kirishima but his hair was now red. "Hey Kirishima... you dyed your hair?" I murmured with a soft smile.

He grinned, "Yeah! I thought I'd make myself stand out a little more, ya know?"

I nodded. "Yeah... it suits you really well," I complimented, glancing to him.

He gave a delighted, "Thanks!" I don't think he could smile any brighter than that.

I looked to the door and saw that Midoriya had walked in. He was talking to Iida and a cheery brunette girl. I smiled when we made eye contact and he gave me a small wave.

"If you're here to socialize, then get out."

My heart jumped and I sat up in my seat as the teacher walked in with a yellow sleeping bag. "It took 8 seconds for you to quiet down," he glared at us lazily before continuing. "I'm your homeroom teacher, Shouta Aizawa. Pleased to meet you."

He looked sort of familiar but I couldn't quite place how. "Quickly. Change into your gym clothes and go out to the grounds." His gaze danced around the room before settling on me and I frantically looked down at my desk.

Everyone else started to get up and I followed the guys to the locker room. After changing in a stall away from the others, I followed the other students to meet Mr. Aizawa.

At his announcement of a quirk test, a tension fell over the class. He explained how we would be doing the typical 8 gym tests but this time we could use quirks.

He called the ashy blonde boy, Bakugou, up for an example. Stepping aside and tossing a baseball to the student, Aizawa finished with encouragement to go all out.

Using his explosive quirk, Bakugou launched the ball with an aggressive, "DIE!" Even standing in the back of the group, I could feel the recoil from Bakugou's throw.

While everyone exploded with excitement at the go ahead to use their quirks, I felt a pit in my stomach as I wondered how I could use my quirk in some of the tests.

"You think this is all fun and games?"

The class hushed as Mr. Aizawa turned to us, "Whoever gets the lowest score will be deemed hopeless and will be expelled."

With his harsh statement, the air was punched out of my lungs. The class let out cries of outrage. Tuning them out, panic clung to my mind as I frantically tried to strategize a plan.

As I waited my turn for the 50 meter, I brainstormed ways to use my quirk on the other tests. I already decided that I would pop to the finish line for the run. It wasn't too far so it shouldn't drain me much.

I was struggling to find a creative way to use my quirk on the other tests, when my number was called.

At the go ahead, I popped to the finish line. "0.45 seconds," the device chirped.

I smiled at Kirishima's boisterous, "Good job!" as I shuffled off to stand behind the class.

The next tests passed quickly enough. My grip strength hardly improved from middle school but I easily used my quirk for the long jump.

Hopping into the air and popping a nice distance ensured an impressive score.

My side stepping was average. I would have used my quirk but I didn't want to risk overdoing it and not being able to hear for the day.

For throwing, I got a meager 48 meters and went back to my place at the back of the class.

When the green haired kid, Midoriya, went up for the ball throw he seemed shocked at his score.

"I erased your quirk," Mr. Aizawa drawled. It wasn't until I looked to him that I made the connection to why he seemed familiar.

"Eraser Head..." I whispered quietly to myself.

His capture weapon must have been what tipped me off in class. The rest of the student chattered among themselves while Mr. Aizawa gave Midoriya a quick talk before giving his quirk back to take his final throw. I wonder what he told him...
