Just a heads up!
Chapters like this are more like filler episodes and will likely have no impact on the main plot besides possible references!

---As I'm walking through the dorms, I freeze when Uraraka waves me down. "Hey [L/n]! I'm can't wait for that CPR lesson! It's gonna be really fun!!"
"Uh- yeah. Fun. Definitely." After she runs off, I find myself nervous. It had completely slipped my mind. Panicked, I call Hitoshi.
"[Y/n]? What's going on?"
"Um... my class asked if I'd give
some tips on CPR but I've never
taught another person... would you mind coming over so I can
practice with you first?""Sure. What time do you need
me over? You're at the dorms
now right?""Uh... yeah, the dorms.
Anytime today is good.""I can head over right now."
"T-thank you so much, 'toshi.
You're a lifesaver."He arrives in five minutes and I decide not to question how he got here so fast. I nervously lead the way to my room. We miraculously don't pass anyone on the way up. I don't even know if we can have people over...
Once my door is closed behind us, I fidget nervously. "Um... so I'm certified b-but I've never taught another person before. Obviously, I can't administer the test and everyone would probably have to take a class anyw-"
Hitoshi cuts me off, raising a hand. "Just relax. How about we start with you just explaining the steps, okay?"
"Ye-yeah, okay." I take a deep breath and force myself to relax before I begin.
"So first, you have to make sure the area is safe and call emergency services. No first aid class beats an actual medical professional.
You'll have to start by opening the airway. With the person on their back, you tilt their head back slightly to li-"
Hitoshi interrupts me. "Should you demonstrate this part? It'd probably be easier for them to see it."
"Um- well people typically use a specially designed model but I don't have access to one."
"...You could demonstrate on me if you need to." The tired teen meets my eyes. He seems to be completely serious.
I stutter nonsensically before nodding slowly. "T-that co-could work I guess.... yo-you'll need to lie on the floor."
At my direction, Hitoshi lies down and I kneel at his side. When he gazes up expectantly, I feel a light blush bloom along my cheeks.
"U-uh... As I w-was saying, you'll tilt their head back- like this -to lift the chin." I gently tilt his head back, not meeting his eyes when my hand brushes through his hair accidentally.
"Then you check for breathing... l-like this..." Lowering to listen for breaths, I feel myself blush harder when he exhales into my hair and I sit back up.
"I-I-If t-th-there's no br-breathing, you'll s-start CPR. Since y-you're fine, I'm not gonna u-use full strength but in a real situation you'll have to." I place one hand over the other in the center of his chest and push lightly.
"Y-you might have to use y-your body weight to help you adm-administer compressions that are at least 2 inches d-deep. They need to be delivered at a rate of at least 100 c-compressions per minute. The...um the song Staying Alive is the perfect tempo so you could sing that to keep in time."
Hitoshi grins teasingly when I move my hands away. "You have to go over the rescue breaths, right?"
If my face wasn't already red, it was now. I stammer quietly before glancing around the room, flustered. "T-th-that means w-we'd have t-to um... I-I'd have t-to... y-y'know..."
Hitoshi sits up and rolls his eyes. "Calm down, [Y/n]. It's not a kiss, it's CPR."
I shove him away lightly. "I-I know th-that! It j-just might be we-weird."
"Weird how? You've never had to do it on an actual person?"
"N-no, I have. They w-were just unconscious so..."
The lilac haired teen lays back down. "Then I'll just keep my eyes closed."
"O-okay... W-with the person's head still til-tilted back and the chin lifted, pinch their nose shut and p-pl-place your m-mouth over the person's mouth to make a complete seal. You have to blow into the person's mouth to make their chest rise. Y-you should deliver two rescue breaths, then continue compressions..." Not wanting to really cut off his breathing, I only mimic pinching his nose.
Placing a hand on his chin and the other on his forehead, I just barely brush my mouth over his before pulling back. When I glance to his eyes, they open and he smirks. In seconds I've covered my face with my hands, blushing wildly.
"T-t-th-tha- I-I'm s-s-sor-s..." I find myself too flustered to speak, Hitoshi snickering quietly at my distress.
"It's fine, [Y/n]. CPR, remember?"
I bury my face further in my hands, too embarrassed to respond. I hear a deep sigh before I'm pulled into a hug.
"Sorry for teasing you... You don't have to teach your class the rescue breaths if you don't want to. You were a great teacher." He runs a hand over my hair and I steal a glance at him. His eyes dance around the room, not placing too much attention on me.
Before I look away, he meets my gaze. "In fact, you'll be the first person I call if I ever really do need CPR."
I drop my head onto his shoulder, smiling softly. "...'toshi I'm pretty sure the first call you should make is to an ambulance..."
"Hush. I'm trying to be supportive."
