Chapter 51

With the rest of the interns, I finally finish supplementary lessons. Now we can really participate in the class activity which turns out to be a band.

We make it back to the dorms in time to help figure everything out. The instruments are all assigned and Jiro is decided to be the singer after everyone hears her sing. She's really good...

At 1 am, Iida announces-

"We've decided all the roles!!"

Somehow, I'm assigned to the dance team. I end up just going along with everything, caught up in my classmates' excitement.

The groups are:

"Bakugou, Jiro, Kaminari, Tokoyami, and Yaomomo in the band!"

"Kirishima, Todoroki, Sero, Kouda, and Aoyama as the staging team!"

"And everyone else on the dance team!"

We're out practicing on Saturday when I see bushes rustling before Eri pops out. Before anyone else notices, I wander over and kneel to be eye level. Noticing her cute outfit, I smile softly.

"Hey, Eri-chan. That's a lovely dress!"

She smiles faintly. "Meraki... thank you. I like it, too."

Aizawa appears behind her and Uraraka and Asui approach us to compliment the outfit as well. Then the rest of the class notice and I turn to face them.

"Wha- What?! Is that his...kid....?!"

Nervous at the sudden attention, Eri ducks behind me, taking my hand and peeking around my legs. I'm quick to reassure her. "I-It's alright, kiddo."

Aizawa speaks up lazily. "We were granted permission by the principal. We don't want her surprised or put into a state of panic, so we brought her here so she can get used to things."

Iida comes over to introduce himself. "Eri... you're the girl from the time with the interns! My name's Iida! Nice to meet you."

Mirio comes up beside us. "She's a shy one. Anyhow, Eri and I thought we could walk around and explore campus after this. Midoriya and [L/n], want to join us?!"

We both agree. Then Kirishima appears and spots Eri. He runs over to introduce himself before we head off.

Soon, the four of us are walking around campus. The small girl sticks close between Mirio and I, holding my hand. The older boy explains things as we walk.

"Even though there's no school today, because everyone lives on campus, lots and lots of them are continuing their preparations today!!"

All around campus, the students buzz around with activity. Building stands and sharing flyers, everyone is doing something. We eventually bump into Class B- or rather -they bump into us with a dragon.

"Sorry 'bout that... Hey! It's Midoriya and [L/n] from Class A!" The steel kid, Tetsutestu exclaims.

I hear a single word from Monoma before I tune him out completely. I kneel down to face Eri along with Midoriya.

"Hey kiddo... you okay?"

She glances between the two of us, nodding. "I thought it was the falling lady."

Monoma can be heard. "Oh man oh man, you're ignoring me?! Really?!"

I smile to her softly before standing again. "Don't pay the loud boy any attention. Let's go."
