I'm still sitting in full shock in room where Noah left me. I'm too scared to go out and look for him. All that he said simply looks exaggarated. Too much fake.
Could it possibly be true?
I collect all my strenght to make my way downstairs. Noah isn't in rooms on the first floor so I assume he went downstairs.
I go through the kitchen and living room, but there's no sight of Noah. Now I'm gettin slightly worried that Noah left me here. On my way to big dining room, I notice huge wooden door. They're closed.
Maybe he's in there?
I sigh and make my way towards door. In the exact moment I put my hand on doorknob, male voices fill the house.
I recoil from the knob and turn around. I don't see anyone.
I follow the voices to the kitchen. The three Musketeers are currently striking the poor fridge, emptying it from its' content.
I can't help but giggle to myself. I stand at the entrance to the kitchen. I'm observing their appearances shamelessly stuffing all the food on the table.
I cough so I can get their attention. The three of them turn to me, their eyes full of fear. Ray and Sawyer have their arms stuffed with candies, while Joyce has his mouth full, instead of his arms.
He looks like a small hamster collecting stash in his mouth. I'm amused by his stupid look.
Joyce swallows all content from his mouth, while Ray and Sawyer carefully put food on the table.
"You saw nothing.", Joyce lifts his arms in surrender.
I've never seen so much fear in someone's eyes.
"Don't tell Noah I ate the last muffin.", Joyce says quietly.
I burst out of laughter. I don't know if it's funnier that Joyce is so scared or that Noah is still overly protective of his muffins.
"You what?", Noah appears behind me, shooting Joyce a glare.
Joyce's pupils stretch in a second and I manage to read some swear off his lips.
Noah rushes from behind me and runs towards Joyce. In a second, he stretches his arm out so he hits poor Joyce with his shoulder and crashes him.
After Joyce leans a bit backwards, Noah plants his right leg behind his and collapses him on the floor.
Joyce is on the floor in a second with Noah on top of him, holding his hands on each side of his head. Joyce has been defeated.
"What did we say about consuming my muffins?", Noah asks dead serious.
"May God help the one who touches leader's muffins.", Joyce recites serious.
I join Ray and Sawyer who are amused with the show.
"And what have you done?", Noah asks.
"Ate leader's last muffin.", Joyce shamefully answers.
I think he's slightly blushing. So much show over one muffin.
"But, Noah, it's not fair. You ate my last Nutella jar yesterday.", Joyce states.
"I needed it for my muffin.", Noah says non-interested.
I take a look at the table in front of me. And then I see it.
Really last chocolate muffin.
I casually make my way to table and take it.
I squat in front of Noah and Joyce. I see Ray and Sawyer's horrified looks.
In the moment I bite on muffin, Noah looks at me. His pupils widen and jaw drops down in shock.
"You didn't dare.", Noah says.
I grimace when I chew the content.
"It's kinda dry.", I answer, making sure I spit tiny bits of chocolate on Noah "Joyce, you want rest?"
Joyce gives me a terrified look. He shakes his head no.
"No, thanks, I like my life.", Joyce says.
Noah looks like steam is about to come out of his ears. He has that killer look, especially when he says "Three".
On his words, all three of them yell at me to run. I look at Noah's mischievious smile and get up the floor.
I sprint at the moment he says "One" and literally fly over the stairs.
I feel my heart beat in my head. I haven't had this much of adrenaline attack for years. It feels so good.
I'm squeezing that muffin in my hand like my life depends on it. I'm scared it's going to crumble of my grip.
I hear Noah's heavy steps running after me. I come to the dead end when I stand in front of my room. I turn to Noah, who stands like bull few meters from me.
He's breathing heavy, shooting me a death glare.
"Hey, calm down.", I lift my hands in self defense "I'll give it to you."
I see his nostrils stretch and narrow. Maybe I get to calm him down.
"Muffin.", he says calmly.
In that moment he rushes towards me. I stay frozen on the spot when that nutjob goes after me. Not so hard, he hits me with his shoulder so he practically carries me while running straight.
He stops only when he craahes me on the bed. We're in the same pose like when he knocked Joyce on the floor.
He holds my hands next to my head, each on one side.
"That was last muffin.", he states.
"I didn't see your name on it.", I answer bravely.
"It's a fact that no one eats my muffins.", he says.
"I didn't know that.", I raise my eyebrow.
He keeps staring at me and unnoticeably starts coming closer. At that moment, I realize in what pose we are.
He stops, inching from my face, I can feel his breath on my skin. I close my eyes.
Second later nothing happens and I feel lighter.
I open my eyes to see Noah in front of me, holding his damn muffin in his hand.
That sneaky bastard.
