89. Real Life

"Today we have two of TV's most loved couple both on and off screen, please welcome Nina and Ian Somerhalder!" Jimmy said as he stood up from behind his desk as Nina and Ian walked into the stage through the blue curtains, the audience going wild as they made their way into the stage, the couple waving at the audience with bright smiles, "How are you guys doing?"

"We're good and you?" Ian asked after they exchanged hand shakes and Nina and Jimmy exchanged hugs and a kiss on the cheek

"Good, I'm still in awe that you two are expecting your first child" Jimmy said with a head shake but a smile none the less took over his face

"Yeah, it's something that we both talked about when we got back together. This is something many probably had already figured out by the time line but I was actually already pregnant when Ian and I got married" Nina said as she held her bump with one hand while rubbing it with the other making the audience coo and awe at the action from the actress

"I figured as much but you weren't showing that much as you did when you announced the pregnancy. It took me by surprise and I'm sure everyone else aside from those who already knew" Jimmy asked and the pair nodded

"It wasn't until actually during the honeymoon that she began showing a lot and by then she was around I think 25 weeks along" Ian replied looking over at his wife with a smile

"So how did you tell him about the pregnancy?" The Tonight host asked and Nina smiled and from there the pair talked about everything and anything they could think about without giving them too much information and during the break the pair and Jimmy talked for a few moments before they exchanged returned to the stage as there was a musical guest coming to end the episode.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, please join me and our special guests in welcoming Khalid and Normani with their single 'Love Lies'!" Jimmy announced as the lights went down and the audience screamed as the pair were seen standing in front of their microphones as the start melody filled the room.

As the song reached the end, confetti fell from the ceiling covering everyone in multicolor shredded paper

"Thank you for joining us and didn't miss the episode that airs tonight you won't want to miss it. Until tomorrow. Have a good night!" Jimmy said as the camera zoomed in on his along with his guests all who waved at the camera.

"Thank you so much for song this episode" Jimmy said once the cameras were off and the group went backstage to take selfies minus the expect parents who opted to not be in the photo since Nina was exhausted and Ian wanted to be at her side incase she needed something

"No, thank you for inviting us. It was a lot of fun getting to talk to you tonight" Nina said from her spot on the sofa, "maybe we'll do this again once the baby's here and I can actually move around without getting winded"

"That would be great. I never got to ask, have picked a name yet?" Jimmy asked and the pair nodded

"Yes," the others looked on waiting for them to say but Nina didn't continue making them groan

"Ugh you're killing us" Jimmy faked whined making them laugh

"The baby will be here before you know it" Ian stated before looking at Nina who liked about ready to fall asleep, "ready to go?"

"Yeah. Sorry Jimmy, I would love to stay and catch but I'm exhausted and hungry" Nina said apologetically but the male only shook his head giving her a reassuring smile.

"No need to apologize. I understand, I remember my wife being tired when she was pregnant so I know. Just go home and get something to eat and rest up" Jimmy said with a smile and helped Ian help Nina to her feet

"It was nice seeing you both as well" Nina said looking over at the singers who smiled

"It was nice seeking on as well Nina, and congratulations on the baby" Normani said with a smile that Khalid copied

"See you guys and have a good night" Ian said with a wave as he grabbed his and Nina's coats from the sofa and after they waved at them, the pair walked out from backstage and made their way down the hall towards the exit.

"Can you give me a back rub when we get home?" Nina asked as Ian helped her into the car. They were staying in their New York home for a few days before they went home to California for Nina's appointment. They had been on New York for a little over two weeks now and during that time, they and hung out with their former co-stars and gone to Ian's charity event that happens two days after they had arrived. To say Nina was proud of Ian would be an understatement, she couldn't really fix words to express her admiration towards him and what his foundation does. Watching him talk so animatedly about the different charities that his foundation works with, made her appreciate him a lot more than she already did.

"Have I told you how proud I am of you?" Nina asked suddenly and Ian looks over at her with a raise brow since they were at a red light

"Yeah. You tell me everyday" he replied with a smile that she returned as she cupped the back of his neck and began playing with the hairs at the nape

"I'm very proud of you, and everything that you do for the world and for animals" she said, "I'm sorry that I don't say it as often as I should"

"Yo don't have to say it everyday for me to know. Hell I should be the one saying how proud I am of you. You're carrying a baby and not once have you complained aside from your back aches and sore feet but that's all. I don't honesty don't know how you women do it. I swear I wold be dying if I was in your place" Ian said making Nina burst out in laughter at his comment, "You're one hell of a woman Nina Somerhalder"

"And you're one hell of a man Ian Somerhalder"
