140. Real Life

"So whats the verdict?" Candice asked as all three women stood in the bathroom anxious about the results. Nina took a deep breath and picked the stick up and looked at the result.

POSITIVE

The result read. She was pregnant with baby number two. She looked at her friends and smiled. She felt tears fill her eyes as the news set in. She was having another baby.

"Well?" Kat asked concerned

"I'm pregnant" Nina whispered as she showed them the test

"Oh my god" Candice squealed as she pulled her into a hug 

"Wait but why are you crying?" Kat asked and Nina chuckled wiping her tears away

"I'm happy silly. Ian and I have talked about growing our family but I didn't think we'd be growing it this soon. I was hoping to get pregnant when Blaire it a bit older maybe two or three not one" Nina said but her smile never went away and her friends smiled

"He's going to be very happy with the news" Candice said and Nina nodded

"Happy about what news?" All three women looked at the door when they heard Ian's voice before exchanging glances before Kat and Candice said that they'll be on their way and wished Nina good luck, "well?"

"Where's Blaire?" Nina questioned when she didn't spit her almost 1 year old

"In her crib napping. She fell asleep just as we got home" he replied and she nodded, "Now what did Candice mean about me being happy about the news? What's that?"

Nina looked down when Ian's eyes landed on her hands and on the pregnancy test before their eyes were locked with each other and Nina bit her bottom lip before handing it to him without a word and he furrowed his brows but took the stick now realizing it was a pregnancy test

"Is this what I think it is?" He asked and she gave him a small smile

"Turn it over" She replied and watched as he turned the stick around and his eyes grew wide before he was crossing the threshold and pulling his wife into his arms

"Are you sure?" He asked looking away to look at her and she nodded, "we should've put the pieces together when you weren't feeling well for the past couple weeks"

"Yes but it doesn't matter though. We're having another baby" Nina said with a grin and Ian chuckled shaking his head as he pulled her in for a kiss

"God I love you" he murmured once they pulled apart and she smiled a she played with the hair at nape

"I love you too. We're going to need another crib" she muttered and he grin

"We're going to need to make an appointment to see how far along you are first before we think about getting another crib" he said and she hummed nodding

"True. Come one I want to cuddle before our little angel wakes up and demands our attention" she said before pulling her husband out of the bathroom and towards their bed and climbing in which made Ian chuckle again

"Not just her. We've got three dogs and a cat to think about too"

"Okay fine, our kids decide they want attention" she stated in exasperation and he rolled his eyes at her antics but climbed in beside her and she grinned cuddling into his side

"Get some rest" he murmured kissing the top of her head and she hummed yawing, not realizing how tired she was. And she should be seeing as she had been reading emails about possible work projects and sadly about the news that her show FAM will not be getting renewed for a new season which she was upset as she and thought that it was doing but she supposed some things don't always go the way you want them to.

A few hours later, Nina woke up to an empty bed and frowned and looked at the time to see that it was 4 in the afternoon. She sat up yawning and stretched her arms above her head before getting out of bed and making her way towards the bathroom to wash up before going in search of her husband and 11 month old daughter. She walked out of the room once she was freshened up and smiled when she heard the soft giggles of her daughter and barks of their dogs and found her in the living room in her swing as she watched Maverick, Lulu and Jasmine jump when Ian tosses them food and she shook her head.

"How many times do I have to tell you to not give them too much human food?" She asked making him look over at her with a sheepish grin and she shook her head with a fond smile, "You spoil them too much"

"Mama" Baby Blaire squealed as she made grabby hands towards Nina who smiled and walked towards her and picked her up before blowing raspberries on her chubby cheeks making the infant burst in a fit of giggles

"Hi sweet pea" Nina cooed as she rubbed her nose against hers and Blaire grinned showing off her two front teeth. She had started teeth three months ago and those had been tough on them as the soon to be one year old cried all the time even when she had her teething ring. She was fussy and always demanded cuddles and her parents attention but now that shes gotten used to the idea of having teeth she has stated biting anything and everything she could get her hands on. It was extra painful for Nina during feeding time as she woke bite her every other second as she nursed. It's not as bad as it had been the few days but it hasn't been rainbows and sunshine either.

"Did she eat yet?" Nina asked and Ian nodded

"Yup. She had her bottle as soon as she woke up another 20 minutes ago" he replied as he flipped something on the stove and she nodded

"What are you making?" Nina questioned

"Pasta with shrimp" was his reply, "did you have a good nap?"

"Yeah. It needed it. I got some news"

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. The director of FAM emailed me this morning while you took Blaire and the dogs out and before the girls came by" Nina said as she bounced Blaire on her hip while the toddler played with her necklace

"What about?"

"Said that the show won't be getting a second season" she said and Ian raised his brows in surprise

"Did he say why?"

"Something about not getting enough views or something like that but it's not a big deal though. I mean don't get me wrong I'm shocked that it won't be getting another season but I'm always glad that I had the chance to do something that was out of comfort zone. Besides I already have a couple projects in the works" and he Ian nodded turning down the heat before making his way towards his wife and daughter before pulling them into a big making the baby squeal at the attention making her parents chuckle

"I know you wanted this to work out and I'm sorry" he said but she shook her head with a smile

"Don't be. It gives me more time to be with you and our little ones" she replied and he smiled kissing her forehead

"I'm proud of you, you know"

"And I'm proud of you too" she replied and he smiled before going back to finishing making dinner while she went into the living-room with their daughter to put her in her playpen  before going to help Ian by setting the table.

Life may not always be what you expect them but it always finds a way to be what you want them in the end, it isn't takes time for it to get there. They both learned from that and they couldn't be happier with how things turned out for them in the end. They learned that the hard way when they went their separate ways only to get reconnect once again at the end of 2017. Nina and Ian now have so much to be grateful for. Like the saying goes, is you love them let them go of they come back they were meant for you if not then never were. And this is one of those moments where everything comes back to them being together in the end.
