rain, beautiful rain

come down upon the sad sorrows of this frigid white earth

fill up the lakes and the rivers and the ponds

erase your cold-hearted counterpart

take it

away, away!

and then return with only Apollo carrying the birds and flowers

upon his mighty chariot

to save us from this hellish glacial world
