*SHAWNS POV*

I pound on his front door.

My heart is beating so fast and I feel so angry.

I haven't seen her since she left last night.

I know we're done but I'm so sorry for snapping at her, and so mad she went to Gilinsky.

I know how he feels about her and I think she still feels it for him.

"Where is she?" I scream in his face right when the door opens.

He squints from the light shining in the dark room.

"Who?" he asks.

"You know who." I say taking a deep breath.

"Bailee?"

"Of course Bailee!"

He points toward the couch and I push past him.

"Is this some sort of joke?" I ask, taking in the fact that all that's on the couch is a blanket and a piece of paper he probably forgot to throw away.

"Bruh, what are you talking about?"

"She's not here." I say.

He sprints from the door to her in less than a second and his hands start to shake.

He grabs the piece of paper and reads something on it.

"I-it's a note. From her." He says handing it to me, as he takes in shaky shallow breaths.

As I read it my chest feels like it's being stabbed. I've never felt so far away from her.

Who would she even know in the south?

The Griers.

Of course. She did seem to hit off with Nash and Hayes, I guess me and Gilinsky wasn't enough?

I wince from my thoughts. No wonder she's gone.

I'm an ass.

"We have to get her." I say.

"She couldn't have gotten far." He says.

"She had to get her stuff." I say and I run back to my car.

Jack comes to and I look at him.

"What are you doing?.." I ask.

"You may not like it but I love her too." He sighs.

I start the car and try not to strangle the guy I used to call my bestfriend.

When I get home I'm crushed to find out that, even though I came as fast as I could, I was to late. She's gone.
