The night was quiet, or so you thought.
Tony had finally settled down into bed, you tried to get that man to relax and feel um, you know, happy. Though the universe really seems to disagree.
You married the Man, the love of your life. But, his anxiety and PTSD kept ruining things for him. You knew better than to get mad at it, he couldn't control it. You wanted to show him how to love, how important he was, why he could make such great impacts on the world, and on you.
You lay on your side of the bed, facing the wall. You just hoped tony was asleep, calmly, in a state of happiness, with lots of dreams-
He whimpered.
You looked over and saw him twitch a bit, his eyebrows furrowed, too.
He curled up, whimpering and twitching. It must've been a really bad nightmare.
He was gasping, practically for air.
His arms reached out, and draped over you.
They slowly pulled you in, his heart rate slowed.
He stopped having that nightmare, you whispered,
'Oh baby, please don't worry. I'm not going anywhere. You're my number one, it's always you.'
You moved in closer to him. He hadn't heard what you said but you could practically feel the tension leave him.
