Okay, normally, I would disagree with using violence as a means to an end.
My moments with John is an exception, though. I mean, can't you see how infuriating he is sometimes!?
Nevertheless, I still prefer to talk things out rather than inflicting harm on someone.
Now, though...
How can you not get angry when you and your friends got ambushed, drugged and kidnapped to who knows where?
Indeed, this situation we've found ourselves right here is a definite exception.
"Aaron, duck!"
I ducked just in time to get out of the way of Alexander's punch. He socked a guard holding a taser gun and flung him towards four more guards and towards the wall, where it left quite a large crater at the impact.
I winced. Rest in pieces, you villains...
I know how Alexander's quirk felt firsthand, what with the whole spectacle of me being flung to the sky in the past and all (aside from that poor soul that interrupted his sleep), so I can totally relate to their pain.
We continued to run along the halls as fast as we could once we saw that there are too many guards to run away from.
John went in front of the barrage of villains and, using his wind manipulation quirk, blew them to submission and forced them to their knees. It sure was a fascinating sight to see at least 50 guards simultaneously screaming as a seemingly invisible force pins them down.
Now that I think about it, maybe having John as his friend isn't so bad sometimes.
...and I also realized how many times this thought had crossed my mind. Go figure.
Hermann had frantically looked at three hallways, left, right and center, that we had found ourselves when we stopped for John. The redhead bit his lip, before turning to Eliza. "Do you know which way to go?"
"Oh, please", Eliza smiled, before closing her eyes. "When in doubt..."
I jumped back in shock as huge explosions came out from the left and center halls. Eliza opened her eyes and pointed at the right hallway. "Eliminate all wrong choices to get the right one!"
Alexander sweatdropped. "Eliza, I don't think that's how it goes..."
I rolled my eyes, grabbed Hermann and pulled him by the arm as we went along.
Even if I'm not sure I want to know what Eliza did to the other two hallways, I sure as hell would like to get out of here!
We passed through a metal door in the middle of the hallway while the guards started to recover--
Suddenly, Hermann screamed. I jolted, instantly letting go of his arm.
Nejire gasped and ran over to him worriedly. "Hermann, are you okay?"
"Y-yeah", Hermann laughed sheepishly as he held his left hand. It was visibly bleeding. "My hand just got grazed by the spikes at that metal door."
Ah, that metal door that we just passed. Looking back at it, there were indeed spikes at it's edges.
I grit my teeth. Darn it. We weren't being careful enough.
After recieving a reassuring pat on the shoulder and an encouraging gaze from Eliza, we moved on.
Just as we passed through the chosen hallway, though, we found ourselves in the middle of a throne room.
