It had been about 5 days since Chris and Phoenix last saw each other. The Russo brothers decided they no longer wanted her running errands for the cast members, which included delivering Hemsworth's beef jerky, so they assigned her to certain scenes for observation. She had been spending most of her time with the guardians of the galaxy cast as well as Tom, RDJ, and Benedict Cumberbatch for the scenes that took place in space - while the black panther crew along with Chris, Mackie, and pretty much everyone else shot their scenes at a different time.

"Tom!" Chris called as soon as he saw the Spider-Man actor exiting his trailer to leave for the day. He jogged over to Tom before pulling him into a hug.

Chris wasn't exactly sure if Phoenix mentioned them spending the night together to Tom but the fact that she herself asked him not to speak on it made him believe she kept it to herself.

"Hey Chris!" Tom smiled widely. "It's been a while mate!"

"It has." Chris agreed. "I'm actually glad I bumped into you! I know you're on your way out and I won't keep you too long but I've been meaning to talk to you about something.

"What's up?" Tom asked, although he had an idea of what it was about.

"It's about Phoenix."

"I know." He replied, with the same smile across his face.

"Well, I like her." Chris stated the obvious. "And I wanna ask her out officially but I just wanted to talk to you about it first."

"You didn't have to do that, mate. Phoenix and I are and will always just be friends." Tom said. "You are both incredible people."

"Thank you, Tom." Chris grinned. "I just didn't want to step on your toes or anything. I needed to be 100% sure that you'd be okay with it since you two are so close."

"I appreciate that but again, it's not necessary. Have you talked to her?"

"Not since the cast was split." Chris replied. "I gave her my number last week but she hasn't texted me yet."

"She's been busy with-"

"HURRY UP LOSER!" The sound of Phoenix's voice cut through their conversation like a buttered knife.

The second Chris spotted Phoenix, his heart began to beat faster. He had no idea why he was all of a sudden nervous but it felt like like the butterflies of his first elementary school crush magnified 100 times.

"Hi Phoenix." Chris paused to examine the face of the woman he missed more than he expected.

Phoenix slung her arms around Chris' neck as he hugged her tightly, making sure his hands were no lower than her waist. She rested her head on his chest, allowing for almost 10 full seconds of silence before finally allowing herself to speak. "Hi Chris."

"Hi Phoenix." He repeated dumbly which caused Tom to chuckle.

"I've been meaning to text you, I've just been-"

"Busy." Chris and Phoenix spoke simultaneously before finally pulling away.

"That was a long hug." Tom scratched his neck awkwardly while unhooking Phoenix's keys from her backpack. He then began to slowly and dramatically back away from the pair. "I'll wait for you in the car."

"How has everything been?" Chris asked.

"Hectic." She replied. "I've been making last minute changes to my script and I have to go back to L.A. to shoot it in 6 weeks. With all that plus everything I have going on here, I haven't had a minute to just relax in a week."

"Maybe I could help with that."

"I wouldn't be opposed to that."

"I'm glad to hear that." Chris said. "I didn't get the chance to tell you but I scored a couple tickets to Hamilton in New York for next week."
