"Hi."

"Hi." Phoenix replied to Chris, who had just finished shooting a scene in time for lunch.

He placed a hand on the small of her back as she jotted a few things down in her notebook. "What are you writing?"

"Nothing." She lied while closing the notebook and finally looking up at Chris. She reached up to cuff his face in her hands before proceeding to pull him into a hug.

"Have I told you how beautiful you are?"

Phoenix smiled into his chest. "Everyday."

"Well, I'm gonna tell you again." Chris replied while pulling away so he could admire her. He grabbed both of her hands and held them loosely in his. "You are beautiful, Phoenix."

"You are beautiful too, Captain." She spoke in response to the Captain America suit he was wearing. She would've jumped his bones right there and now if she could.

"I'm gonna go get changed." He said, laughing. "Walk with me?"

"Uhh..." She looked up at Joe Russo for approval in to which he gave her a thumbs up. "Yeah, lets go."

Other than Tom, the Russo's were also made aware of Chris and Phoenix's relationship status early on. They had absolutely no issues with the pair dating dependent on the fact that they didn't let it affect their work, which they never had before. Joe asked her straight up what would happen if they broke up before the end of shooting and if she'd be able to work in such close proximity to an ex. She let him know that she wouldn't have a problem working around Chris if their relationship ever turned sour, which was untruthful.

"Robert wants you to join everyone in his villa for lunch today." Chris informed while closing the space between him and Phoenix as they headed to his trailer. "He personally invited you."

"Why?"

"Maybe he wants to get to know you more."

"I'm gonna have to pass on that." Phoenix decided.

"You'll pass on that?" Chris repeated. "Can I ask why?"

"I've been here for 6 months... and I'm just now all of a sudden getting invited? It's only because we're together."

Although she was friendly with Robert, they had still yet to have any real conversations. Being invited to his villa for lunch was so strange that she could only account it to the fact that she was now dating Chris. She definitely didn't want to get special privileges just because of her relationship with a certain cast member; that was one surefire way to make the other members of the crew hate her. And no matter how many friends she had that were part of the cast, Phoenix was and always will be a member of the crew. Of course, she was loyal to Tom and Chris but she was also loyal to the unsung heroes of the film industry: the crew, which she was proud to be a part of.

"I don't want you to feel that way." Chris sighed. "Before we were together, you had Hemmy, Lizzie, Tom... and Mackie has grown to like you quite a lot."

"I guess."

"Why don't we stop by there now, make our little announcement, then we'll head to my trailer and talk a bit while I get changed?"

"Okay, sure."

The walk from set to Robert's villa didn't take but 5 or 6 minutes, which was mostly spent in silence.

Chris wasn't quite sure what he could do to make Phoenix feel included but he also didn't think she even wanted to. She always made it a point to separate herself from the cast and remind everyone that she was a part of the crew and he didn't quite understand it until that moment. Knowing Phoenix, it was safe to say that she didn't want to be treated differently strictly because of their relationship. It was comparable to the scene in civil war when Peter talked about how he didn't play sports before he got his powers and now that he had them, he shouldn't play them now just because he can. Phoenix just wanted to stay true to herself regardless of what came her way and that was very respectable.

"Hey guys." Chris cleared his throat as he stood in front of the OG Avengers in addition to Tom, Sebastian, and Elizabeth. "Sorry to interrupt but we wanted to talk to you all about something really quickly."

"Let me guess... you two are dat-"

"Shhh." Sebastian cut Mark off to prevent him from spoiling yet another surprise.

"Thank you Seb." Chris offered a smile before slipping his hand into Phoenix's and intertwining their fingers. "Phoenix and I are officially dating now. It hasn't been long but we thought it'd be best to let you know rather than hiding it."

"What?!" Hemsworth jumped up with shock and amusement displayed all over his face. "Congrats!"

"Who knew Evans was such a sugar daddy?" Robert joked after standing to his feet. He approached the couple and pulled Chris into a hug - which caused him to drop his grip on Phoenix's hand. "Happy for you, Evans. You got yourself a good one, Phoenix."

"This is great!" Elizabeth gushed after hugging Phoenix. "Good things happen when your heart and head agree."

As Chris' other costars got up to show him love and congratulate him, Phoenix focused her attention on Tom. She stood awkwardly next to Chris as Tom stared into the air. He looked to be in deep thought.

Scarlett nudged him when she noticed Phoenix watching. "Tom."

"Yeah?" He snapped his head up at the sound of his name. It didn't take him long to realize Phoenix was looking at him so he stood up and made his way over to her. "I'm gonna steal you for a minute."

"Ooo careful with her, Evans. She's leaving with frog boy. This might be foreshadowing." Mackie joked in reference to the meme about Tom looking like he always had a frog in his mouth.

"What's up?" Tom asked Phoenix as soon as they were far enough from the villa.

"Do you think things are going to be different?" She wondered.

"Why would they- oh because of you and Chris?"

"Yeah."

"No, I don't think so. Everyone expected it to happen sooner rather than later. And in spite of your differences, you two seem to actually work." Tom replied. The day Phoenix told him she and Chris were official, he took a step back to regroup. He never wanted jealousy to affect his friendships with either Chris nor Phoenix so he made the conscious effort to put his feelings aside and accept that his friends made an amazing couple. Phoenix had never showed any romantic interest in him and Chris had been nothing but a genuinely kind and supportive guy. The phrase 'fake it til you make it' was so instrumental in Tom's acceptance of the new relationship that by this point, he truly wanted Phoenix and Chris to work out in the long run, no faking at all.

"You know Tom, I think you're my best friend." Phoenix spoke, somewhat randomly. "I would trust you with my life."

"I feel the exact same way about you." Tom admitted with a smile.

"Best friends 5 ever."

"5ever."
