"So I work as a vet and my working time is always in night" taehyung said and jungkook nodded while taking a bite of his strawberry cake

"I also have night shifts. I work in a cafe" jungkook said.

"So I assume that you like pets?" Jungkook chuckled seeing taehyung's eyes glisten

"I do! They are like the sweetest kinds of beings. I hate seeing them in pain so that is why I wanted to become a vet" taehyung smiled

"That's cute" jungkook smiled, feeling some sort of soothing feeling building up in his chest.

The cake is nice, the coffee is relaxing but to him it feels that those aren't the things making him peaceful

"So jungkook, do you... live alone?" Taehyung hesitantly asked, nervous sweat forming on his forehead as he gulped, his heart beating fast

"No, I live with my girlfriend, Eun-bi" jungkook smiled at taehyung

Taehyung's heart dropped in his stomach, his dreams shattering as a small lump formed in his throat.

He looked down at the plate in his hand

"That's so nice" he gave him a small smile

"Thanks" jungkook smiled lightly

"So I shall go" taehyung got up and sighed

"So early? Stay for a little while, neighbor" jungkook chuckled

"Neighbor?" Taehyung asked

"Yes, neighbor. That's what you are right?" Jungkook laughed out

"Yes, that's what I am" taehyung mumbled out inaudibly

"Well, anyways, thank you for the cake. It was delicious!" Jungkook said and stood up

"You can keep it and make sure to let eun-bi taste it" taehyung said with a sad grin on his face

"Sure! Please do come more often. I feel bored in the morning as Eun-bi goes to office and I have no one to talk to" jungkook said and taehyung gave a small nod

"How about I make cookies tomorrow and you come at my house?" Jungkook suggested and taehyung was hesitating to say yes but said it anyway

"So goodbye till tomorrow" jungkook waved him off

Taehyung walked towards his home while looking down

"He really has a girlfriend" he said in a small tone, tears pricking his eyes

"He's just a small crush of yours, Tae. You'll get over him eventually" he said to himself and entered his home, tears still present in his eyes

Only if he knew it wasn't this easy.
