𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚎𝚘𝚔𝚓𝚒𝚗I carry the last box into the elevator of my new apartment complex and let out a breath I don't know I'm holding. I keep the elevator open by putting a box between the doors and head back outside.
I spot my friend, Hoseok, leaning against his car. Our eyes meet as he sends a quick smile my direction. I walk over to him, seeing him take a step away from his car.
"That was the last box." I announce. "Thanks for helping me move."
"Don't mention it. You sure you're not in need of more help to get the boxes actually into your apartment?" The brown haired boy asks me with a bright smile.
"Nope, I just used you for your car, really." I say popping the 'p' while sending him a playful wink.
"Tsk tsk tsk." He moves his head from side to side in disappointment. "I'll be going then. Good luck. Let me know when you do need extra help."
"Will do." I wave my friend goodbye as I head back inside.
My eyes widen as I see the elevator door close. I take a run forward, placing my arm in between, praying to God that it won't be snapped off. My plan seems to work as the door opens again.
The first thing I see is my box being moved away from the door. Next thing I see is a boy in front of me, looking up from his phone.
The boy seems to be around my age. His eyes left with a confused look. I smile awkwardly and point at the boxes behind him.
"Those are mine. I was just saying goodbye to a friend outside." He nods his head, understanding. He looks back at his phone as I get away from the elevator door and stand inside completely. I'm about to press the button to my floor, but see it already lighting up.
I look to the man beside me. I can't help but smile at the black hoodie he's wearing, covering his hands a little bit. His jeans being ripped at the perfect spots. I look towards his face, it being covered by glasses making me look at his eyes first. They were a deep brown color, matching his natural brown hair.
"Are you good?" I snap out of my little trance and feel heat rise to my cheeks. The deep brown eyes are looking in my direction now making my heart flutter. My hands find their way to my face, covering my cheeks.
"Uhm, yeah." Silence fills the elevator as it comes to a stop. The door opens again as I watch the other boy walk out. It is my floor as well. That explains that. I kick a box in front of the door softly again as I step outside to look for my door, it being in front of the elevator.
I smile contently as I take my keys from my pocket and open it. I turn back to the elevator and take the first box to move it inside.
"You have a unique way of moving, you know that?" The boy from the elevator smiles at me as I stop in my tracks to look at him. "You need some help? You're kind of blocking the elevator by doing this right now."
"S- sure." I stutter as he sighs and puts his phone away. He lifts his sleeves up to his elbows and looks at me. My eyes land on his arms, but quickly move to the box in my hand as I continue.
"Are there fragile things in these boxes?" He asks with an awkward glance in his eyes.
"No, why?"
"Just wondering." He picks up a box and walks over to me. "Lead the way... What's your name?"
"Uhm, Seokjin." I answer.
"Lead the way, Seokjin." My nerves disappear when I see a warm smile form on the strangers face. I smile back and head to my apartment with him on my heels. "Right here?" I turn around and nod as he places the box down next to the door. "I'm Namjoon, by the way."
"Well, Namjoon, let's get moving."
"Did you just?" I hold my laugh as I nod seeing him roll his eyes with a sweet smile. "Help me remember why I asked to help you."
We head back towards the hall and continue to silently bring in boxes.
