We had already gotten to a hotel,and it was around nighttime. I assumed that we were going to go to sleep now, but then I heard a noise.
I got up and worked towards it.
It was my mom getting ready to leave the hotel.
"Where are you going?"
She sighed, her face looked grim and serious. She glanced at the time.
It reads 10:23.
"If I'm not back by the time it reaches midnight, go back to Japan without me."
"W-what? I can't leave you here." My voice was getting shaky. "Why" it was all you could say now, this was all so sudden.
"I can't tell you that," she sighed "but,"
She handed me a strange, small rectangular device. It had one blue button on the front, and a red one on the back, with a small screen. "What is this?" I asked.
"It's a direct line to Joseph Joestar, if he calls pick up with the button at the front, the red button makes it detonate.." she paused "just in case."
"Why are you giving me this?"
She didn't answer me.
Instead, she pulls me into a hug, "Stay alive for me..kay?" She muttered the last part out weakly.
"I love you."
