"Joestar-San, what's wrong?" The man in red asked, confused.

Wait a minute..

Joestar?

"Oi gramps, could you not be annoying for a second." Jotaro said in monotone.

Gramps?

"Wait.. Jotaro"

"Hm?" I heard as he turned to me.

"You're telling me..your the grandson... of Joseph.. Joestar"

"You know him?"

I saw a smile pull the corners of the old man's lips,he then said "Your next line is. 'Hey, predict what I'm gonna say right now.' !"

"Hey, predict what I'm gonna say rig- oh my fucking god it's him."

Jotaro and the man in red stared at you two still confused.
Jotaro finally spoke up,
"You two can be weird later, we have to figure out what to do with this guy" he said putting Kakyoin down on a futon.

The old man examined him for a bit, and finally said "Aha!"
"What is it, gramps" Jotaro said looking over to him.

"The reason he had attacked you was because he had sworn his loyalty to DIO" he said.

"Well yeah no shit, that doesn't get us anywhe-

"I hadn't finished" he said cutting me off.

"That was all because... of this!"
He pushed hair on the boy's forehead out of the way to reveal a pulsating, flesh-colored... thing.

"A Flesh Bud" The man in red stated.

He paused.

"Four months ago, I had met DIO" he stated in his serious tone.

At the sound of the name, my eyes darted to him.
Both Jotaro and I looking at him in surprise.

"I was in Cairo."
"I ran a shop as a fortune teller, it had a been a full moon that night"
He looked up.
"I saw him."
"There he had stood on the second floor."

"I heard you have powers that the ordinary does not..

I would be grateful if you were to show them to me."

"He fled immediately, I didn't dare fight him

I was able to escape."

"I could've become like this young man,
One of his followers."

His words caught me off guard.

If I hadn't run..

If I had lost that fight..

I could've been in the same position as him, I thought looking towards the red head.

A puppet.

'This guy... wasn't acting upon his own will.

Only given the illusion that he was.'

It sent chills down my spine.

"With that said, this young man is going to die in only a few days."

"Die?" I heard Jotaro say.

"No. Avdol, Gramps, it isn't over for him yet."

I looked to him.
"What are you suggesting?"

"Star platinum!"
He then kneeled down next to the boy named Kakyoin.
"My stand moves with enough precision to catch a bullet..
I can remove it without harming his brain!"

"Jotaro hold on" I called
"That part is outside of the brain most likely as a defense mechanism if it were to be attempted to be removed-

'Star Platinum' then grabbed the flesh bud.
A tentacle of the bud pierced Jotaro's skin, entering his hand.

"Shit."

"It's going to go to your brain, Jotaro!" Avdol said his voice now panicked, he began to move towards Jotaro to stop him.

"Don't."  I stated

"He's not an idiot enough to do something like this without knowing what he's getting into."

'He's aware of the cost if he fails'

I could already see it going up his neck.

An "ORA!" was heard pulling out the flesh bud.

I let out a sigh of relief as it's reduced to ashes with a quick overdrive.

Jotaro began to walk away.
"Why?" I heard the boy ask him.

There was silence.

He finally answered,
"Who knows?"
"I'm not really sure myself."

No one else in the room saw it.
But I did.
What I saw

Was a heart of gold..
No..

A heart of platinum.
