August 22nd 2018.
We ran.
Faster than we've probably ever ran before.
I gripped onto Flynn's hand tighter as we skidded around the corner, dashing through crowds of people.
They were gaining on us.
I looked at Flynn and he looked back. We nodded in confirmation and let go, splitting off into two directions.
I darted across the street, trying to be wary of the traffic.
The last thing I want to do is get hit.
My hair flew out behind me, dancing in the wind as I sprinted. I entered the less crowded bit of town and slowed down to a steady walking pace. Swiftly and quickly, turning around while still walking, I picked up a newspaper from the bench and continued to walk with it in my grasp. I approached a cafe that had outdoor seating, so I sat where someone had left a plate and mug and started to read the paper.
My heart, thumping against my chest.
Flynn
I ran through a random apartment building.
Will he ever give up?
Then I made the hasty decision to burst into a random persons home as the door was ajar.
I ran through and said "Sorry!" as I got to the window and climbed out onto balcony.
He trudged through only a few moments later.
I looked down and saw a ladder on the side of the railings, so I jumped and clung onto it. Dropping myself carefully down onto the next balcony with a clang.
After, I dropped to the floor and started to run again, back into the busy street on the far side of town.
My phone buzzed and I took it out of my pocket as I continued and Oceane said "Where are you!?"
I looked around and said "6th and 8th!"
"On it!"
I ran for a few more moments before screeching to a halt where Oceane was at an intersection.
The passenger door opened and she said "Come on!" I jumped inside and before I knew it, we were speeding down the road...
So.
Hello! Long-time, I know.
Feels like it's been forever actually! Which... it hasn't. But, let me catch you up on what's happened over the past month.
Somebody will explain this much better, I'm sure, but... here are the basics.
The Anarchists, Micheal's old gang, and the Sambello gang have joined forces. Which means we have 15 men on our backs, 24/7. Things were somewhat peaceful as you may remember from before.
But... No.
Not now.
We're kind of getting used to the thrill, I suppose.
Oceane and I don't see much of Emma and Drew anymore... something happened when they went to see Danny back in July. Something... that changed them. They have become secretive and our relationship with them hasn't been the same. We've basically been doing this thing separately now, trying to figure it ourselves.
I don't know if there's bad blood.
But Oceane and I just feel... not angry towards them, because we don't know anything. But just disappointed because they haven't let us in.
