Flynn

I think our relationship is too complex.

Because neither of us has broken it off with Christian and Maddie.

I know how it seems. I know. But the love? it's still here. Its almost as if we were born with it. We can't explain it, but it's just love. We feel the same, for sure. Our parents wouldn't approve of this arrangments but right now? I'm willing to do anything.

"I'm going to go and see Mark and Joe." I said to Oceane as I slipped on my shoes.

"Trying to get your job back?" she asked as she sat on the kitchen island peeling an orange.

"I don't think I got fired necessarily..." I shrugged my jacket on.

"Flynny, you were fired." She raised a brow, concentrating on her fruit.

"...You're probably right. So I better get down there."

"Good plan. See you later."

"Bye angel."

"It's good to see you, son." Mark said as we sat down in the office.

"You too. Look, I just wanted to say sorry about how things were left."

He nodded at my words.

"You see, Drew is supposedly my best friend. until he started dating my sister. she was 22 and he was 25. it just was unsettling. But the icing on the cake is that they are now engaged."

Mark widened his eyes.

"It's not that he isn't a good guy, he's just too much like me and I hated it. I pretended to be okay with it until I saw how in love they were. I'm a d*ckhead brother... I know. But now? I'm happy for them. As long as Emma's happy, that's all I care about. Drew and I will never be the same but honestly? I'm alright with that."

"Are you really?" Mark raised a brow.

"Of course not. But it's never going to be the same again.

"Understandable. It's fine, Flynn. It sounds like you made the right decision in the end, hm?"

"I like to think so." I weakly smiled.

Mark chucked a rag at me and said "Come on Winters. Get to work." He smiled.

"Thank You..."

He placed a hand on my shoulder before getting up.

Emma

"Why did my parents keep all our shit?" I asked, confused, upset and annoyed.

Drew walked over from the corner he was in and crouched down to my height. "Emma?" He tried to get my attention as I looked through the box.

He held my shoulder and I looked up. "Talk to me." His eyes pleaded.

He sat down and patted to the floor between his outstretched legs.

"Come on. I'm a therapist." He Said.

I rolled my eyes "I'm fine."

"I'm fine doesn't mean I'm fine, remember?"

"You're good." I scoffed

"The best. But if you don't want to talk. I can't make you.." he shrugged before kissing my cheek and getting up. I grabbed his arm and pulled him down to me again.
