Emma
1 week later
"Cutting it close, aren't we? Courts tomorrow." I sighed as I placed my bag at my feet in the alleyway with Christian.
"Told you this was no 24-hour thing." He raised a brow.
"Well. You have the information, that's all that's important." I nodded.
"You're right there."
"Come on. Spill. Am I getting Drew out of prison tomorrow yes or no?"
"...yes. if all goes according to plan." He shrugged.
"Good okay. So what is this mysterious plan?"
"Well. I found out that there is limited back up since they don't think you would risk John and Danny back on the street..."
"Obviously they don't know me well enough. I risk everything for Drew. Like he does for me."
He almost scoffed and said "That's what I thought you would say. But. The problem is, they're going to go against the deal you made with the folders so they can deal with you themselves."
My eyes widened as I watched the floor.
"It's a risk I'm willing to take. For him. We've been running from them for a long time now and the only way to put an end to this is having a full team. Drew."
He nodded and said "I hope you're right. For your sake."
"Thank you... Be careful, okay?" I raised a brow.
He nodded and I picked up my bag before going.
"Mr Price? It's Emma Winters." I said on the phone.
"Miss Winters? How can I help you?"
"I would like to arrange a meeting. You, me and Drew. Today, in 10 minutes." I said.
"Miss winters..."
"It's regarding the case. And info on a dirty cop you're going to want to hear about." I got into my car.
"....see you in 10."
I walked into the station and was led down to the meeting room. They work quickly when they want to.
"Mr Kingston, Mr Price!" I smiled as I walked in. Drew's eyes brightened and he sat up straight to attention.
"Miss Winters." Price nodded.
"Emma..." Drew smiled.
"Baby." I gave him a wink.
I sat down opposite them and placed my hands on the table. "Right. We've been making a plan. That's come to a joyful conclusion. Now, I could just tell you... Or I could go on and tell you a lengthy story. But in going to come out and say it."
I leaned back and said "Lou Moreno is Lou Sambello. Father of Micheal Sambello."
Price almost laughed and said "Emma..."
Drew glared and said "No. Price. Don't you even think about it. We've all discovered some freaky sh*t on this case. Things we didn't think probable. Sneer at Emma and you might as well sneer at the whole case we've worked so hard to make ."
He remained silent.
"Now if evidence is what you want, we have tons. But I need Drew home so he can unlock the security system on the study at home." I tilted my head.
"How am I going to get Moreno to agree with this?"
"I've done the hard bit. You do the rest."
I got up and walked over to Drew, leaning down and kissed him deeply, his hand on my lower back...
