Matt
"You cannot leave, my friend!" I said to Flynn as he stood at my porch.
"I can and will! Everyone, apart from you, has turned their back on me."
"You must have done something." I crossed my arms.
"I did, but it's my opinion."
"What did you do?" I narrowed my eyes.
"Well... I kind of told Drew he was delinquent From the wrong side of the track and doesn't deserve Emma. I told her she was naive and..."
I pinched the bridge of my nose and said "Flynn, we are all delinquents from the wrong side of the track. Where did we all meet? A juvie detention centre. Emma loves him and that is not your place to say otherwise...,"
"But I'm her b..."
"Brother or not."
"Look Matt, I've got to get away for a while. I just... Can't process any of this at the moment. I just thought I would stop by. I'll see you when I get back."
He turned and left down the steps. I opened my mouth to say something but no words came out.
I.. what they say, looked like a gawking idiot.
Whatever that means but I'm sure I looked that.
Emma, Drew and Oceane are not wrong to be mad at him. But I can see he's just being protective.
But what do I do?
Tell them he has left or no?
Maybe I should have taken Oceane's advice and of when I had the chance.
Emma's great. I trust she knows what she's doing since she did set me up with Andrea and that is going very well.
I have never seen Drew as happy as he has been with Emma. There is no need to jeopardise their relationship.
Emma
"I really should go in tomorrow..."
"You're never ill Emma. Ever. Honestly, next week, sure. But just for this week." Drew said.
"Okay... It's sweet how you look after me." I smiled as he stroked my hair.
"Of course. We may not have made our wedding vows yet, but in sickness and in health is a very important one." he smiled.
"I think so too..." I said as he kissed my forehead.
"We'll be alright. You're going to be alright." He held my hand under the sheet.
"I hope so too. And, if we find difficulty in getting married here, we elope." I giggled.
Drews' eyes widened and he propped himself up by his elbow.
"Why don't we anyway?" he said.
I propped myself up too and said "Really?"
"I mean, who do we want to turn up? Parents, can't happen and apart from your lovely mother I very much doubt we would want them too. I know you wanted Oceane to be your maid of honour but what it would be more meaningful to do it... in that warm country that we've wanted to go to.
I smiled and said "I would like that..."
He smiled back and kissed me. "Really?"
"I just want to be with you. I don't need anyone but you at the ceremony. and the priest." I giggled.
