Today turned into obsession
I made my my muscles burn again
And it triggered a string
It pulled open a dark forgotten place
Exposing the bones of my mind
Showing the sleeping monster inside
It opened its eyes and smiled wide
Crept outside of its cobwebbed corner
Scrapping the walls of my mind with its fingernail
A welcome mat greeted its feet
And I smiled a little
It felt familiar
It felt solid
And solid is what I need right now
