"General (L/N), welcome to Aleen."

(Y/N) nodded to the clone who greeted her and jumped out of her Jedi Starfighter, landing gracefully on the solid ground. The desert was a welcome change after having spent two months stationed on Rodia visiting with the parents of force-sensitive children. Isolated forests could be seen in the distance, but the primary terrain was a rocky elevation. After living in a jungle and swamp-covered planet, the temperate wilderness was very favorable.

(Y/N) looked around and observed as clone troopers worked to move crates full of supplies around for redistribution to the Aleena, who had been suffering from ruinous groundquakes. The sudden disasters had occurred under very mysterious circumstances, and so (Y/N) wasn't certain that their efforts would be fruitful, as there was no guarantee that the ground would stabilize now that they had arrived.

The Aleena seemed to be a friendly people, and (Y/N) began busying herself with greeting them in their native language, which she had spent years learning in order to achieve fluency. The small beings couldn't have been taller than two and a half feet*, so in order to avoid looking down on them, (Y/N) moved into a seated position to continue her conversation.

One of the younger ones who had joined the crowd surrounding her had been very quiet until he noticed her lightsaber when her robes shifted as she sat. His already large eyes widened and he pointed excitedly. His loud exclamations of excitement stirred up the other Aleena children, causing the elders to step back and watch their childlike display. Soon, every member of the audience was staring at her weapon with curiosity. It was probable that very few of them were familiar with the blade, as the only Jedi that (Y/N) could name that was Aleena was Master Tsui Choi.

Slowly, (Y/N) removed her saber from its home on her belt and held it out to them. She explained that it was very dangerous and should only be used when necessary. When several of the children insisted that she demonstrate how to use the lightsaber, (Y/N) stood and asked her audience to back away to avoid accidental injury. She activated her (color) saber and swung it around elegantly, putting on a bit of a show for the group. They watched with bated breath as she threw it high into the air, gasping every time she used the force to cause it to spin in the sky. It began its descent, and even the older Aleena cried out as (Y/N) caught it without any complications. The crowd erupted into cheers as (Y/N) smiled and bowed theatrically.

It was only when the crowd finally began to disperse that (Y/N) noticed a clone standing several feet behind where they had been. He wore his helmet, but (Y/N) had no difficulty sensing the trooper's annoyance and impatience. She approached him with a purposeful stride.

"General, we've been expecting you," the clone said. His armor was painted with grey markings, and based on the details of his attire (Y/N) was able to assume that he held some authority over the other clones present. Without warning, he removed his helmet and (Y/N) noted that his hair was well-kept, and he wore a very stoic and authoritative expression on his face. One of his eyes had been replaced with a stark white cybernetic one, and it added to his intrigue. Overall, (Y/N) thought that he was not bad looking.

"Thank you-"

"Commander Wolffe. 104th Battalion, Wolfpack Squad."

"-As I said, thank you Commander. I heard that you were in need of a translator here, and I came as soon as I was able," (Y/N) paused, a new thought dawning on her. "Can I ask why you couldn't just use a droid? I'd like to say that I'm fluent in Aleena, but a droid would be far more reliable."

Commander Wolffe sighed. "We did have a droid, sir. However it seems to have...ran off."

(Y/N) laughed. "I'm sure we'll find it eventually. In the meantime, what can I do?"
