I have a fatal flaw.

Of course everyone does.

I suppose the difference is that this flaw brings me to my knees whenever I let myself acknowledge it.

My heart aches for it, but I love the enemy.

(Y/N) (L/N) sighed, ashamed of herself for the very thought, and deactivated her lightsaber(s). She all but ignored the fact that this action severely threw off the young Ezra Bridger, who wasted no time in stumbling and falling to the ground, his own saber sliding away from him on the smooth floors as he watched helplessly.

(Y/N) gasped and reached out to him, allowing the teenager to grasp her hand as she helped him to his feet. Once he had retrieved his weapon he turned back to (Y/N) and shook his head, pure confusion drawn on his features.

"(Y/N)? What was that about?"

The older Jedi shook her head in turn, forcing a small smile. "Nothing to be concerned about, Ezra."

Unconvinced, the boy pressed on. "No. Something's up. What's wrong?"

(Y/N) laughed quietly. "Very perceptive, Ezra." She attempted to brush it off, but his concern for her well-being lingered in the air of the hangar which they had situated themselves in such a way that it could not be ignored, especially not by one who was force-sensitive.

Clearly believing that the Jedi master would need more prompting, Ezra ventured further with his line of questioning. "Y'know, you've been acting like this ever since you met Agent Kallus."

(Y/N)'s breath hitched. "What do you mean?"

Ezra toyed with his saber hilt as he searched for the correct words. Finally, he replied, "You've just been...quiet. Unsettlingly quiet. And everytime one of us tries to talk to you, it's like you aren't even there- and that's also when we can actually get you to talk!"

(Y/N)'s gaze moved to her boots. Ezra stared at her intently as he awaited her next words, unsure what to make of her reaction to his own.

At last, (Y/N)'s eyes slowly moved to meet Ezra's. Her solemn expression unchanging, she quietly said, "That Star Destroyer wasn't the first place that I met him...

"Listen kid. You give us the credits and we won't have any trouble, yeah?"

The young Alexsandr Kallus stared at the thugs, agape, as they encroached closer upon his position. The teenage boy had simply been going for a walk outside of his father's home when a violent gang of pickpockets had decided to make him their next victim. Unfortunately for Kallus, he had abandoned his blaster on his nightstand before he had left the safety of his home earlier that day.

After being shocked into silence for several moments, Kallus finally shook his head and barked, "Do you know who my father is? He'll have your heads for this!"

His audience at first had no idea to respond to this little outburst. After a brief silence, however, they instantly erupted with laughter.

"If your father's so protective over you, why are you walking by yourself on a planet like this?" one of the thugs asked mockingly, gasping for breath as he calmed himself. Kallus glared.

"I'm perfectly capable of caring for myself!" the teenager spat. The thieves looked back and forth between one another, smirks growing on their faces. Noticing that the men still thought of him as little more than a small obstacle in getting what they wanted, Kallus ventured further, saying, "How about we make a deal?"
