Zoom!

If she slipped, her chances of survival would be close to nothing.

Zoom!

There, perched hazardously on top of a towering building under the shadow of the Coruscant night life, Jedi Master (Y/N) (L/N) had been watching for nearly ten minutes, patiently awaiting her target. A countless number of speeders had already passed by her, however none of the angry outcries of their drivers nor the way that the vehicles came dangerously close to ending her life sooner than expected had so much as rattled her. She was searching for one man, and she would not stop until she found him.

(Y/N) leapt down, landing without warning on the back of a small speeder bike, slightly rocking it with the force of her impact. The driver gasped, but could not stop as thousands of other speeders were following closely behind him. As they sped through the illustrious city, (Y/N) scanned the crowds of people below her, desperately looking for the bounty hunter. At last a blue hand grasping at a billowing brown jacket gave him away.

There.

There was Cad Bane, red eyes shining with maliciousness. His lanky frame moved like a shadow through the crowd that he hid within, and no one seemed to pay him much mind. It was true that most were probably either drunk or well on their way to becoming such, however he was a known criminal- surely even in the absence of sobriety his appearance in a well populated area would arouse suspicion. In spite of all of her reasoning, no one seemed to share the Jedi's sentiment.

Wordlessly, (Y/N) jumped off of the speeder and onto the platform below. She heard the driver curse loudly as he sped off into the night, however she didn't have time to send him a reply as she was forced to watch with exasperation as the bounty hunter fled further away from her.

She began moving hurriedly against the crowd, hopeful that there would still be time to apprehend him before he escaped her clutches. She watched as he peered over his shoulder and slunk through the entrance to a bar. He must've seen her, for she could sense his antagonized mind. With one last inhale of fresh air, she followed the feeling and raced into the establishment.

(Y/N) was immediately met with a large crowd of people, not of which were in their right minds at the time. The acrid stench of stale alcohol enveloped her, bringing enough of a distraction to cloud her senses. She examined her surroundings and took note of all of the possible exits and hiding places. It would be difficult to spot Bane in the unruly crowd from her current position, and so she began cautiously walking through the room, her mind screaming in protest.

Finally she saw the familiar flopping hat pass through a small, partially hidden door near the back of the bar. She increased her speed and took off after him, being mindful to not give herself away.

She just saw him enter into another room near the end of the hallway, not caring to ensure that he wasn't being watched as he slipped away once again. She could sense his agitation turn to anxiety, which she had an easier time tracking. She continued her pursuit.

Discretely entering through the doorway, she peered around the room. It was dark, with the only light source being the occasional speeder headlights that seeped through the blinds in passing the small window. Overall, it was a very eerie sight, and to make it worse, there were no living beings in sight. She walked further into the room, seeing no distinguishing furnishings or accessories that would tell her who had rented it out. No luggage, no clothes or items strewn about the room...

Her blood ran cold as she heard the horrible, foreboding sound of the door sliding to a close.

"I've got you now, Jedi!"
