She hadn't realized when she drifted off to sleep, but there was something about fish boy's even breaths and calming presence that somehow washed over her, thus luring her into a comfortable sleep. Maybe the best she had had in a while.

She blinks a couple of times before her eyes land on the pale boy in front of her, the events from the previous day flooding back into her mind, and she finds herself staring as the boy lays on the bed, his cheek squished against his extended arm and his brows drawn together.

With a frown of her own, she tentatively reaches out her finger and softly pushes his eyebrows back with her index finger, holding her breath when the boy slightly turns in his sleep.

When he doesn't wake up, she lets out a soft breath and stands up as carefully as possible, placing the blanket on top of him to make sure that he is tucked in properly, then she heads to the kitchen to make them something to eat.

What should I make for him?

She wonders as she looks at the different products in her fridge, her foot taping against the tiled floor as she thinks, standing up straight as an idea occurs to her.

What do mermen even eat?

And just like that her mind floods with unanswered questions, so in the end she decides to go on the safe route and make him ginseng chicken soup to help him regain his strength.

With determination coursing through her veins, she quickly starts preparing everything for the soup, softly humming as she places the cut vegetables into the boiling water, a pleasant aroma filling the air as she cooks.

Moments later, a door opens, revealing Namjoon who comes out from the bathroom, his dark wet hair slightly dripping as he makes his way towards the kitchen.

"Morning." He greets with a dimpled smile, opening the fridge to get his water bottle out.

"Morning Joon." She responds with a smile of her own, lowering the heat on the stove. "I made some breakfast and put it on the table."

"Thanks. Is he still asleep?" Namjoon asks, ruffling his hair with the towel before letting it rest on his shoulders. As she is about to answer, a loud thump in the room makes both of them jump.

"I'll go check on him." She says dropping the spoon, breaking into a slight run as she rushes to reach the room to check on the boy.

"Watch the soup Namjoon!" She calls out as she rushes past him, pausing for a second before she adds, "But don't touch it!"

Namjoon awkwardly rubs the back of his neck as he stands in the middle of the kitchen, his eyes drifting to the soup on the stove as he mutters something under his breath 'it was only that one time' but she doesn't hear it as she yanks the door open.

Her eyes slightly widen and she lets out a small gasps as her eyes land on the boy's struggling figure as he tries to get up from the floor, his arms shaking as he tries to support his weight.

The boy snaps his head up when he hears the loud creak of the door, his eyes widening when he sees a silhouette by the door, and without hesitation, he quickly drops back on the floor and tries to hide to the best of his ability.

Noticing his reaction, she slowly makes her way around the bed and towards him, slowly crouching down so that she is at the same level as him.
