EunHae had been a little hesitant about letting the boy watch tv for a long time, especially when there was no one around, but she was surprised with how entertained he was, barely leaving his seat.Such was the result of Namjoon's idea, who insisted on seeing how much the boy could learn by watching tv, hoping that the exposure to various variety shows will help him learn human behavior and speech.
"The sooner he adjusts, the better." Namjoon had said, and EunHae couldn't agree with him more. If the boy was to be integrated into society without being suspected, he would have to learn to not stand out.
During the course of the next few hours and through his introduction to the box called a television, the boy had taken a special liking to the 'v' pose, thus earning his new nickname.
He had also started expressing himself more with gestures. To EunHae however, this was sometimes a little hard, especially when the boy did aegyo.
Now, a few days have passed and the boy keeps making steady progress, seeming to understand the human pair better now without them having to use signs for every little thing.
Namjoon had also been especially attentive to the boy and his needs. Although he didn't agree with the "kidnapping" of the boy at first, he had to admit he had developed a soft spot for him, spending any chance he has with him. Now, on his days off, Namjoon would spend time watching the boy and his interactions, teaching him as many things as possible.
In the span of the days the boy had been with them, he had gained some weight, which made EunHae happy, though for now his diet consisted of lots of water, steamed rice and fish since she didn't want to feed the boy anything that might upset his stomach.
Soups seemed to be better in the beginning. Later, she introduced rice and now some fish and vegetables. The process was slow but the boy seemed to be adjusting just fine. The only thing that boy was still struggling with, was his speech.
He still hadn't said a word or even made a sound, with the exception of his sneezes which much to their surprise were somehow unexplainably loud.
The boy stays frozen in place after his sneeze, giving the pair an innocent boxy grin as he turns his attention back to the tv, Namjoon trying to hold back his laugh by covering his mouth, muttering a low 'cute' under his breath.
He is just too cute. How could anyone hurt him? Those people clearly have no heart.
EunHae just smiles and continues to watch the boy as she puts away the dishes.
~~~
The boy likes this new place. The human pair are nice and treat him kindly, unlike the laboratory where they would barely spare him a glance. But he especially likes his new nickname.
V.
He's not entirely sure what it means but based on the girl's reaction, it has something to do with the sign he learned from one of the shows from the box.
V found things in the human world to be quite interesting and fun, and he loved showing the human pair the things he learned.
One of his personal favorites so far is playing rock, paper, scissors with Namjoon.
At first he didn't get the game, but human people seem to play it a lot so he was not going to give up until he won a few rounds, Namjoon even promised to buy him anything he wants if he wins three in a row. There is no way the boy could miss this opportunity, especially since there is something that caught his eye, his mouth watering with just the thought of it.
