Rebecca went straight to her doctor's office when she was dropped off at the door of the hospital. "I have an appointment with Dr. Smith," she told the receptionist.

"Rebecca," she heard Sandy say from beside her. She turned and gave the doctor a smile. "Come with me." Rebecca followed her through a door and down the hallway to an exam room. When she sat on the bed, Sandy took a seat on a rolling stool. "So, what's going on? You don't need to be here until next month," she gave Rebecca a worried look.

Rebecca took a deep breath, "I think I'm gaining too much weight," she told her. "I mean I know everyone gains at different rates but I just have a feeling," she shrugged. Sandy nodded her head.

"Okay," she opened a file in her hand, "your HcG levels were a little higher than they normally are at your last appointment. How bad is your morning sickness?"

Rebecca groaned, "It's horrible I am vomiting at least three times a day and feel sick nearly all day long," she told her. She hadn't even thought that how bad she had been feeling might mean something bad.

"Okay, I am going to do another sonogram," Sandy said as she grabbed the machine from beside her. Rebecca laid down on the bed and rolled her top up. When Sandy turned the sound on and placed the probe in her stomach, Rebecca could hear something that almost sounded like a double beat of the baby's' heart. Sandy made a face that worried her.

"Is something wrong? Why does the heart sound like that?" She asked in concern. She watched Sandy's eyebrows furrow.

"No," she said and looked closer at the screen. She moved the probe around Rebecca's stomach. She said nothing which made Rebecca worry more.

"Sandy, please. What's going on?" She asked after a minute. Sandy sat back and finally looked at Rebecca with a huge smile. "What?"

"Rebecca, you're having twins." Rebecca's eyes widened.

"Twins?" She covered her mouth with her hand. She was shocked not having expected that. She started to laugh after a few seconds of thinking about what Sandy had just told her.

"Go ahead and clean up. I will go and get you scheduled for another appointment. I want you to come in more often than we had planned. At least until I am sure that there won't be any complications." Rebecca nodded. She remembered some of the possible risks that came with a multiple pregnancy so, she understood the reason for the closer observation. When she was done and Sandy had told her about her appointment the next week, Rebecca left the office.

She sent Vincent a text asking where he was. She didn't have to wait long to get a response.

At the hospital checking on my father. I will stay until you get to work. I would like to check on you too.

Rebecca smiled she liked that he was so worried about her. She went to the reception desk at the hospital entrance and asked for Francesco's room number before heading to the seventh floor. When she stepped out of the elevator, Vincent was standing in the hallway talking to a doctor. Rebecca approached them. Vincent did a double-take. The doctor, Matt, she knew from working on a patient the week before, sent her a smile.

"Rebecca? Is everything okay with Miss Renolds?" Matt asked. Vincent looked at him with a raised brow. Not thinking about why the man may know her, he felt a need to stake his claim. He wrapped his arm around her waist.

"I think she is here to see me, doctor," he kissed the top of her head. The doctor cleared his throat and waited for Rebecca to confirm why she was standing there. She nodded her head.

"I haven't even started my shift yet, Matt," she smiled before turning to look at Vincent who was staring at Matt. She placed a hand on his chest hoping he would calm down before causing a scene. "I just wanted to check up on my family," she turned back to look at Matt as Vincent's head snapped in her direction. She called him her family and he smiled a little before turning back to Matt and sending him a glare. Excusing himself, Matt walked away.
