It's been a while since I did this! Enjoy 😉 

Ash has been in the hospital for several weeks now because of the injuries he had suffered from the Kalos Crisis. Nevertheless, he stayed optimistic and Alain managed to do the same by visiting him every day. The two had gotten quite close. Steven, however, was filled with rage as he had to watch from the sidelines.

"How come he gets to spend time with that cute kid?", he screamed in rage as he punches his tea onto the table.

"Calm down, Steven. Probably 'cause they know each other. Plus, Alain does kinda have a thing for him", Diantha advised while sipping her tea.

"You think I don't know that? He stares at him like he's in love every time he visits"

"And how would you know that?"

"'Cause I've been watching 'em. I gotta make sure Alain doesn't do anything rash"

"I think watching a kid and his friend's interactions in the hospital is already pretty rash, Steven"

"Whatever. Imma get Alain away from him if it's the last thing I do"

Meanwhile, at Lumiose Hospital, Ash and Alain were giggling hysterically.

"Wow! I bet you, Steven and Mairin have had some fun times together!"

"Yeah...but it always felt incomplete. It might be complete if you joined us...we've been looking for another person to travel with us"

"I just might! I've been talking to Mairin a lot more. I haven't really met Steven yet, though"

"Oh, trust me. You don't want to. He's a playboy"

"Really? Considering he's a champion, I thought he'd be respectful"

"Oh, please. He is the opposite of respectful"

Just then, the door swung open and a blue haired man with a suit walked into the room.

"Oh, Steven! We were just talking about you!", Ash greeted.

"Oh, were you?", Steven replied through gritted teeth as he gave Alain a death stare.

"Um, yeah, we were thinking that maybe Ash could join our group and travel with us", Alain stayed awkwardly.

"Oh, how nice"

After his last comment, Steven suddenly sprinted up to the hospital bed, shoved Alain off and took his place next to Ash. Before he could say anything, Steven smacked their lips together, much to Alain's dismay. After their brief kiss was over, Ash had a look of 'boi wtf is wrong wit u' all over his face. Alain's expression certainly said 'u askin to die'. Steven's face was smug. Just smug.

"Yeah, I think that should be enough to get the point forward. I like you, Ash. A lot"

"Uh...I...um...wha-whe-why?", Ash uttered as Alain grabbed Steven, shoulder. Correction. Grabbed the side of his neck, ready to squeeze it.

"He doesn't. He's just pretending because he knew I was gonna say it first", he threatened, still gritting his teeth.

"Alain was right...you are a playboy. Wait, did you just say..."

"Playboy, huh?", Steven interrupted as he held Alain's neck the same way, "Interesting...what a coincidence...we both like the same person, and we're all travelling together!"

Alain and Steven's subtle threats were too much for Ash's dense brain to process, so he just sat there and waited 'till Mairin came in.

"Hey, Ash! Steven! Alain!"

"Hi, Mairin! How's it going?"

"I just wanted to see if it's settled that you're travelling with us...?", Mairin excitedly answered, waving her hands around in early celebration.

"Yeah...it's settled. But I should be the closest to Ash for now. You know, because he knows me best", Alain demanded through a forced smile.

"Of course...as long as you don't keep him to yourself", Steven warned with the same smile.

Mairin was already completely aware of what was happening. Her expression was 'oh damn these two fightin'

Ash, however, was still confused, so his expression was 'ok just don't kill each other'

But let's be real. They'd probably end up doing that really soon.
