Heads up, this first scene is kinda over dramatic.

Otherwise, enjoy!

He did it. He'd won. After years of training, thinking countless times that he was going to give up, only to leap back into action and continue his journey, he finally made it. Ash Ketchum had won a Pokemon League.

As Gladion recalled his Pokemon, Ash found himself in a white void, the cries of the audience still slightly reaching him. A young boy with a cap, black spiky hair and a blue jacket, who was a little shorter than him, appeared in front of him and threw his arms around Ash.

"Did I win?", he asked, shedding tears as Ash did the same.

"Yes. You won", Ash answered as the void started to get brighter and brighter.

He felt a warm hand on his shoulder. He turned to see Gladion, staring at him with a concerned, kind expression.

"Congrats, Champion!", Gladion chuckled, putting some effort into looking happy for Ash.

Ash didn't answer, he just kept staring into space. Gladion started to look even more worried and had his hand on his shoulder more firmly this time.

"Ash, hey, you okay? You're kinda just zoning out"

He just kept staring. Not necessarily at Gladion, or the crowd screaming his name. Like he was lost.

He found the white void concealing him again. The same boy appeared in front of him, standing opposite him.

"You hear that? I'm a Champion! Now no one can call me a loser anymore!", the boy cheered.

More tears came flooding down his cheeks. Little did he know those tears weren't just part of the void. He continued to unknowingly enter his galaxy of dreams and illusions, simultaneously trying to stay awake in real life.

When he finally reconnected with a world he could touch, he found himself sitting on the floor, Gladion's arms around him.

"Ash! Are you alright?"

His eyes fluttered open as he cracked a weak smile, yet still shedding tears.

"I...I won...", he breathed.

"Yeah, you won. You're amazing, aren't you?", Gladion agreed as he slid his arms under the boy, "I'll take you home to get some rest. You're probably just tired"

As he started walking with his light crush in his arms, four adults glared at him from above. An elegant woman with blue eyes, a suited man with light blue hair, a woman dressed in wintry black clothing, and another man with fiery hair.

"I knew that kid'd turn out to be like us someday", Lance mumbled as they watched Gladion leave the stadium.

"He always was quite talented", Cynthia added, "But what slightly concerns me is the other one"

"The one that lost?", Steven suggested.

"Look, I know we're all adults", Diantha started, "But we have to make sure whoever this kid is is a nice guy. I'm not letting some douche-bag be in a relationship with that precious kid!"

"Then it's decided. We'll simply investigate. Subtly analyse this boy from a distance, until we're assured Ash is in good hands", Lance concluded, crossing his arms.

"So...spying then?", Steven retaliated.

"Yes. But it's for a good cause"

"It's still spying"

"Do you care about the boy or not?"

"Of course I do"

"Then stop being such a scaredy-cat and go with this!"
