Babysitting

(Bucky Barnes)

(It's at the time after civil war and just imagine that Scott isn't "locked" up in his home)

Today Scott asked you to babysit Cassie because he had a secret meeting with the Avengers at his home. You suggested him to pick her up and go with her to the Avengers tower (you live there). He thanked you and asked you to pick Cassie up at around 2 PM. You agreed and went home. As you were walking back home you thought that maybe Bucky could "help" you a little bit out. You knew that Bucky didn't like children but sometimes he would act like one. So you set up a plan to let Bucky spend as much time as possible with Cassie.

Time skip to when you've arrived at the Avengers tower

"Bucky?" You called out for him but you didn't get a response. This time you called him by his real name "James?"
Out of the living room you heard a voice say " Yes? What is it ?" You followed Bucky's voice to the living room and sat next to him. He was watching TV and at the same time eating his cereal like a 6 year old kid.

"I was just wondering if you wanna help me babysit Cassie." You said. He looked at you with confusion and asked "Who is Cassie ?" You sit next to him and explain that Cassie is the daughter of Scott and that she would come over here because the Avengers are gonna have a meeting at Scott's.

"And why do you need my help ?" Bucky asked. "Because I also have to cook for us and in that time you're gonna have to watch over her and play with her."
He looked at you with those pleading puppy eyes but you didn't give in. He rolled his eyes and said "Fine but only if I get a kiss from you." You smiled while rolling your eyes and kissed him on his lips.
"Ok I gotta go pick Cassie up. See you in a bit."

Time skip to when you're at Scott

"Hey Scott!" You shouted as you entered his house. Cassie immediately recognised your voice and came running to you "Y/N !!!!" You smiled and asked her where her dad is. She responded with " He is in the kitchen ." I thanked her and went to Scott to inform him that I'm going take Cassie now. He said his goodbye to his daughter and gave us a little snack.

Meanwhile at the Avengers tower
Bucky's POV

"Oh God...I don't even know what to play with Cassie. If she has long hair then maybe I could braid her hair and play with her that we are Avengers or other superheroes."
*Ding Dong*
I open the door to see an adorable girl that I love and a child holding her hand. "Y/n is this Cassie?" "Yes this is Cassie ." Y/n responds.
Your POV
Bucky then nods and lets us in. He then goes back to his TV to watch his show. "Don't worry. He just needs to warm up and then he's nice ok?" Cassie nods and asks when dinner is ready because she's hungry and only ate breakfast. I tell her that I'm going to make dinner now and that she can go to Bucky and watch with him something on the TV. She runs off and I go to the kitchen.

After a while I hear a small cry and go to the living room to see a crying Cassie. "Bucky what happened?" I ask and he just looks at me and responds with " I wanted to watch my show but she wanted to watch Shrek!" I roll my eyes and tell him to let Cassie watch what she wants and that he can watch his show later with me.
I go back to the kitchen. I thought that I could make spaghetti and some pudding.

40 minutes later

"Guys ! Dinner is ready !!" After about a minute I hear footsteps approaching and see a happy Cassie with braided hair. I ask her who braided her hair. " Bucky braided my hair. How does it look ?" She asked me with a big smile. " It looks beautiful. I think I'm gonna ask bucky if he can braid my hair too." I say with a chuckle. I look at Bucky and see that he blushes. I smile to myself and tell them to eat.

After dinner

"Alright who wants to help me bake some cookies?" I ask with a small smile. "MEEE!!" I hear from Bucky and Cassie. I laugh and tell them that they both can help me.

After the cookies were in the stove we looked like a mess. Flour was everywhere and on Cassie's face was chocolate. "Bucky ? Could you please wash Cassie's and your face? I have to clean the kitchen. " He smiled and took Cassie's hand to lead her to the bathroom.
After you cleaned the kitchen you checked the time. It was 8 PM and then you remembered that Scott said that Cassie goes to sleep at 9 PM. So there is enough time to eat the cookies,you thought.

20 minutes later

The cookies were done and you all sat on the couch to eat them. When the plate was empty you asked Bucky if he could take Cassie to bed. " Of course. Come here Cassie ." He took Cassie in his arms and went to your bedroom that you shared with him. When you were done cleaning everything ,you went to see after them. You opened the door to see Bucky sleeping peacefully next to Cassie. A smile spread across your face and you went to the living room to watch a movie. When you were in the middle of the movie Scott came in. "Hey Scott. Cassie is sleeping with Bucky. "
"Oh ok thanks Y/n."
"Where are the Avengers ?" You asked. Scott said that they are already in their rooms. "Alright I'm gonna take Cassie now. Thank you again."
You nodded and went to bed.
