I am made of non-transparent plastic
Concealing every emotion I feel
There exist limits to the elastic
If you fill the shell too much it will peel

A winding tapestry of veinous cracks
The exoskeleton dripping quickly
Desperately losing composure, it lacks
The resolve to keep the facade smoothly

The plastic melts and unsheds the burden
Tears spill, pooling about broken edges
Milky lines cradle about limbs blurred in
Soft fabric soothes and coos like pledges

I try so hard to keep my head held high
Keep strong, don't let anyone see you cry
